Hainan Airlines is dropping its odd Edinburgh-Dublin-Beijing flights

Hainan Airlines appears to be dropping its triangular Beijing – Dublin – Edinburgh – Beijing and Beijing – Edinburgh – Dublin – Beijing service from 26th October.

Tickets are no longer available for sale.

The novelty value here is that Hainan sells Edinburgh-Dublin and Dublin-Edinburgh as ‘fifth freedom’ services.   If you need to fly between Edinburgh and Dublin, why not fly it with a business class flat bed?

Unfortunately Hainan Airlines is not in a major alliance so there is no easy way of booking Business Class with miles.

If you still want to try it over the Summer, the dates are:

Beijing-Dublin-Edinburgh-Beijing on Thursdays and Sundays

Beijing-Edinburgh-Dublin-Beijing on Tuesdays and Saturdays
