World of Hyatt has opened its first hotel in Venice.
Last week we looked at the new IHG hotel in Venice, the Hotel Indigo Venice (website here) which is now open and bookable for points or cash.
Hyatt has also just opened its first property in Venice, on the nearby island of Murano. It is based in a building was once a glass making factory.
Like the Hotel Indigo the new Hyatt Centric Murano Venice is a refurbishment of an existing hotel, in this case LaGare Hotel Venezia which was part of MGallery by Sofitel
At just 12,000 World of Hyatt points per night, this could be a good value redemption at peak times. Pricing is all over the place at the moment but some weekends are well over €200 per night.
PS. Still to come in August is Marriott’s new The St Regis Venice, website here.
