British Airways A350 arrival postponed

Our grand plans to cover the arrival of the first British Airways A350 at Heathrow yesterday hit the buffers.
Heathrow and Gatwick were facing substantial delays yesterday due to radar problems, which compounded delays caused by the storms on Thursday evening.
At very short notice – the media were already assembled at Hatton Cross – it was decided to pull the flight which had not yet left Toulouse.
It seems that BA felt it would be unreasonable to use one of the few available slots to fly in an empty plane whilst many passengers were still delayed or stranded on their way to the UK.
British Airways wants its crew back, so the aircraft will be flown in without fanfare today (Saturday). There will be a press tour on Monday from 1pm which we will live-stream on our Instagram page.
It’s unlikely this will be affected by any airspace disruption since the aircraft will only need towing to the hangar.
