LateRooms.com and Super Break go into receivership

LateRooms.com, one of the UK’s oldest internet travel companies, and Super Break went into administration last night.
Both groups were owned by Cox & Kings, which decided to withdraw funding after continued losses. Attempts to find a buyer failed.
There is an official statement on the LateRooms website here.
Anyone who has booked a hotel room on its own via LateRooms appears to be OK, as LateRooms was simply acting as an agent – your booking should remain in place and you can pay the hotel directly. The situation is more complex for Super Break customers.
