Hilton has been running an APAC sale to celebrate its 100th anniversary.  This covers hotels across South East Asia, Australasia, Japan, Korea and Greater China.

Today, Friday 6th, is the last day to book.

Discounts are up to 25% off the Best Available Rate.  There is an additional discount for logged-in Hilton Honors members, except in China, Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan.

The new Waldorf Astoria Maldives Ithaafushi is included, image below, as is the – more affordable – brand new Waldorf Astoria Bangkok.

As always with Hilton sales, your room will be non refundable and requires pre-payment.  This means that the 25% discount is not a genuine one because you would usually save 10% anyway by pre-paying.  You should still see an additional saving, however.

You need to book TODAY for stays until 29th February.

The Hilton APAC sale site is here.

How to earn Hilton Honors points and status from UK credit cards

How to earn Hilton Honors points and status from UK credit cards (April 2025)

There are various ways of earning Hilton Honors points from UK credit and debit cards.  Many cards also have generous sign-up bonuses.

There are two dedicated Hilton Honors debit cards. These are especially attractive when spending abroad due to the 0% or 0.5% FX fee, depending on card.

You also receive FREE Hilton Honors status for as long as you hold the debit cards – Gold status with the Plus card and Silver status with the basic card. This is a great reason to apply even if you rarely use it.

We reviewed the Hilton Honors Plus Debit Card here and the Hilton Honors Debit Card here.

doesn’t get much better than +50% = 1p/ Avios, I got 100,000 Avios @1p a few years ago via IB when the £ was stronger.

But for smaller quantities, you can easily achieve 0.75p or 0.8p/ Avios with Avios + Money, I have regularly been ‘picking up’ 150K Avios pa @ 0.8p this way, all without getting off my backside
