Marriott Bonvoy cuts the cost of its ATP Tennis VIP points packages at the O2

Two weeks ago, I told you that VIP tickets for the ATP tennis tournament at the O2 Arena in London next month had appeared on the Marriott Bonvoy site.

This is the traditional ‘end of season’ event where the top ranked players play for the notional title of ‘annual champion’.  London has lost the rights to hold this tournament from 2021 – it will be moving to Turin – so this is one of your last chances to see it.

When I wrote my earlier article, packages started at 75,000 points for two tickets.  As I value a Marriott Bonvoy point at 0.5p when used for a hotel room, you were giving up £375+ of free nights by redeeming for this.  I said that “I personally think this is a little high” and it seems Marriott agreed.

The ‘buy it now’ VIP packages now start at 50,000 Marriott Bonvoy points for two tickets.

All tickets are for the Marriott Moments suite which we have reviewed various times in the past, eg here.  It is fully catered with a hot buffet and an open bar.  It is on Level 3 so you are quite high up – you can see the suites in the picture above.

At 50,000 points, I think this becomes more interesting.  You’re still trading off £250 of free hotel room, but you will be seeing the top tennis players in the world.

The remaining Marriott Moments packages can be found here.
