Loganair has announced a rule change for its Clan Loganair loyalty scheme.

From 1st January, Loganair will remove all of the points in your account if there is no activity (earning or redeeming) over any 12 month period.

If you are a regular flyer, nothing will change.  Your points will continue to be valid for 36 months from the time you earn them.

Clan Loganair expiry rules

It is worth noting that the existing Clan Loganair expiry policy is not exactly generous.  Irrespective of how much flying you do, your points expire three years after you earn them.

We have seen a lot of airlines liberalising their expiry rules this year, including Etihad (read here) and United Airlines.  Loganair remains on a par with airlines such as Lufthansa – although Lufthansa does at least stop expiry if you have status or have a co-brand credit card.

You can learn more about Clan Loganair on its website here.

PS.  Loganair has just announced two new routes for Summer 2020 – Edinburgh to Hanover and Edinburgh to Esbjerg in Denmark
