Flying Blue launches its discounted Promo Rewards mileage flights for January

Flying Blue, the Air France / KLM loyalty scheme, has launched a new batch of discounted redemption routes.

These deals are released on the first day of every month and are for travel 2-3 months ahead.

We don’t cover these deals on HfP on a regular basis.  If you have a Flying Blue balance then you need to keep an eye open for them each month.  Every so often we like to remind you that they exist though.

The Flying Blue promo rewards website is here. The new batch of deals must be booked by the end of January for travel in March or April.

Some of the interesting long-haul premium economy and business class deals include:

Europe to Wuhan with Air France – 67,500 miles each way in Business (25% off)

Europe to Mexico City with Air France or KLM – 48,750 miles each way in Business (25% off)

Europe to Quito with Air France or KLM – 39,500 miles each way in Business (50% off)

Europe to Beijing with Air France – 36,000 miles each way in Premium Economy (50% off)

Europe to Houston with Air France – 28,750 miles each way in Premium Economy (50% off)

Europe to Bangalore with Air France – 29,000 miles each way in Premium Economy (50% off)

These deals are NOT refundable or changeable once booked, unlike standard Flying Blue redemptions.

One-way redemptions are allowed.  If the taxes are roughly similar, you may prefer to book 2 x one-way flights in case you need to reschedule one leg of the trip.

How to earn Flying Blue miles from UK credit cards

How to earn Flying Blue miles from UK credit cards (April 2024)

Air France and KLM do not have a UK Flying Blue credit card.  However, you can earn Flying Blue miles by converting Membership Rewards points earned from selected UK American Express cards.

These cards earn Membership Rewards points:

Membership Rewards points convert at 1:1 into Flying Blue miles which is an attractive rate.  The cards above all earn 1 Membership Rewards point per £1 spent on your card, which converts to 1 Flying Blue mile. The Gold card earns double points (2 per £1) on all flights you charge to it.
