With zero publicity, Flybe is launching a new route from London City to Luxembourg on 29th March.
There will be three flights per day during the week, competing with the existing and well established Luxair service. British Airways also has daily flights from Heathrow and easyJet flies the route from Gatwick. This may not end well ….
What is not clear is whether Flybe has deliberately avoided publicising the route, which does not fit with its current bid for Government support as the supporter of niche regional routes, or if the flights have been loaded early. The airline already flies from Manchester to Luxembourg so this is not a totally new destination.
