If booking through BA for Marriott deal I’m guessing you won’t get points or status upgrades etc?

Can’t see JWM Venice on a search, St Regis is though.

Has Boracay opened up to tourists now?

    • DB2020 says:

Most of the Philippines has gone back into lock down because of spikes in infection rates in the last week. They were not open to foreigners, only allowing in their own nationals with compulsory testing and quarantine requirements. The government has not given any guidance on opening up to foreign business travellers and tourists.

      • Andy says:

Only foreigners who already have long-term visas will be allowed to enter from 1st August, with testing and quarantine requirements. No chance for tourists or business trips.

  • Thanks for sharing. Can these loans be used for business travel?

Has this Marriott + BA Holidays offer now been pulled? Checked several dates for the Tenerife Ritz Carlton and the EUR350 is not mentioned anywhere.

    • Rob says:

      BA hasn’t sent us anything.

      • Anika says:

Here’s what I got from BA:
‘The offer is still valid, and it hasn’t been ‘pulled’ However, if the hotel also has a special discount as part of the sale, that is probably being promoted about the resort credit in search results, but it should still be displayed in the Special offers tab. We’re looking into why it’s not showing at all on the Ritz Carlton Abama in Tenerife and the W Ibiza’

Looks like a cheap way to buy miles for a bunch of airlines at 1:1 rate, and SQ is even better at 1:1.25

  • Riccatti says:

EUR350 resort credit wasn’t on for several properties.

And this morning 19 July 2020 — all mentioning of EUR350 credit disappeared. Truly a flash sale — was on one afternoon (18 July 2020 only) — looks like BA Holidays received some bookings, noted there is pent up demand and pulled the plug.

  • Phillip says:

Most Domes hotels offer a €50 daily credit on certain rates, publicly available, when booking directly through Marriott without a minimum stay requirement.
