World of Hyatt members will benefit from a new range of covid-driven programme updates announced this week.

The key one for most members is that the launch of peak and off-peak pricing has been delayed further. It is now scheduled to launch in July, which means that you will be able to lock in bookings up to July 2022 at standard pricing.

Other moves include:

  • suspending all points expiry to June 2021
  • extending unused suite upgrade, club access and free night vouchers to December 2021
  • postponing the annual repricing of reward nights for 2021, except for 16 hotels (12 of which are moving down) – although it would be difficult to justify increases in points requirements at this time

Hyatt has already rolled over status, with all members keeping their status as of 30th March 2020 until 28th February 2022.

Details of the new Hyatt ‘triple points’ promotion are in this HfP article. Remember that you can tie this in with the current American Express Hyatt cashback offer, as the article above explains.
