There are three ‘100% buy points’ bonuses running at the moment. Let’s start with IHG Rewards Club as this offer ends today.
You should also remember that:
- BA is running a ‘mystery’ 40% to 50% ‘buy Avios’ bonus at present, and

Get a 100% bonus buying IHG Rewards Club points – TODAY ONLY
IHG Rewards Club has launched another 100% ‘buy points’ bonus, which is as generous as you ever see. It ends TONIGHT, Friday.
IHG has increased the maximum number of points you can buy to a whopping 500,000 points (ie 250,000 plus the 250,000 bonus).
The page to buy points is here.
With a 100% bonus, you would be able to buy up to 500,000 IHG points for (at current exchange rates for $2,500) £1,951.
I usually value IHG Rewards Club points at 0.4p. This is exactly what you are paying for them here, so from that point of view you shouldn’t lose money.
The skill is to use them at hotels where you can get substantially more than 0.4p per point of value. The new InterContinental Maldives, for example, is 100,000 points for an Overwater Pool Villa or – looking at next February – $1,200 inc taxes for cash, per night. This is a 50%+ saving given that 100,000 points will cost you $500.
You can buy points via this link.

Get a 100% bonus buying Radisson Rewards points
Radisson Rewards, the loyalty scheme for Radisson, Park Plaza and Park Inn, is also offering a bonus of 100% when you buy points.
This is as big a bonus as you ever get on Radisson Rewards points. Before 2020 it was exceptionally rare to see such a deal although the dash for cash means that they have become more frequent.
The link is here. It runs until 2nd December. The minimum purchase for the bonus is 5,000 points.
Radisson Rewards has increased the maximum number of points you can purchase in any given year from 80,000 to 120,000. This means that the maximum number of points you can buy is 240,000 (with the 100% bonus) for $840 (£655).
I tend to value Radisson Rewards points at 0.33p. My list of the best American Express Membership Rewards transfer options puts Radisson Rewards near the top. The transfer rate is 1:3 and I value that at 1p per American Express point.
Via this offer, you are paying just 0.27p per point which is far lower than my valuation. This means, in theory, there are deals to be had.
In normal times there is real value here. These are not normal times, however, and with cash rates very low you won’t necessarily get a slam dunk win even buying at 0.27p per point.
If you are willing to sit on the points for a couple of years, I am certain (assuming no devaluation) that you will come out on top. Of course, you may also have specific plans – like a Cape Town trip, where Radisson has a good Waterfront hotel – where you are guaranteed to get a good deal.
If you’ve got a plan, jump in.

Get a 100% bonus buying Hilton Honors points
This offer has been running for a few weeks and continues until the end of the year. However, I haven’t mentioned it for a while so it is worth including in this round up.
Hilton Honors is offering a 100% bonus when you purchase 10,000+ points.
The Hilton ‘buy points’ page is here. You have until 31st December to buy.
Regular readers of Head for Points will know that I tend to value Hilton points at 0.33p each. You are paying 0.39p (0.5 cents) here so the maths in general doesn’t work.
HOWEVER ….. there ARE real bargains to be had at peak periods. Conrad Maldives at 95,000 points per night, the new Waldorf Astoria Maldives at 120,000 points, the ‘all suite’ Conrad New York Downtown or Conrad New York Midtown at 95,000 points are places where you will usually save a lot of money by buying points instead of paying cash.
This is especially true if you have Hilton status and can get ‘5 nights for the points of 4’ on a longer stay. If you don’t have status, this article shows you how to get a Hilton Honors status match.
If you are just buying a handful of points to top off your account, the price per point doesn’t matter anyway. If you are a few thousand short of a redemption then this is a decent opportunity to buy them. The annual points buying limit has been raised to 160,000 points per year (+ 160,000 bonus points on top) as part of this offer.
The page to buy points is here if you are interested.
