Park Plaza, one of the Radisson Rewards brands, has launched two offers for anyone looking for a London hotel stay over the next few months.

As well getting a discount of up 35% on your room, you can also get a 2-4-1 ticket to various attractions run by the Merlin group.

Get 2-4-1 tickets to Merlin attractions

As most of its London hotels are concentrated around Waterloo, Park Plaza is an obvious choice if you are planning a London trip which takes in a Merlin attraction.

The image above makes the point very clearly!

As you can see here, anyone booking a room at a Park Plaza hotel in London qualifies for 2-4-1 tickets for the following attractions:

  • The London Eye
  • The London Dungeon
  • Shrek’s Adventure!
  • SEA LIFE London Aquarium
  • Madame Tussauds London

With the exception of Tussauds, all of the above are within a 5-10 minute walk from Park Plaza County Hall and Park Plaza Westminster Bridge, pictured below. It is 10-15 minutes walk from Park Plaza Waterloo and Park Plaza Riverbank.

You’ll need to hop on a tube at Waterloo for Madame Tussauds, but it is a direct trip on the Bakerloo line ….

You can pre-book your attraction tickets, so there is no risk of finding all of the available slots taken when you arrive in London. Park Plaza will send you a special booking link within, they claim, two hours of receiving your hotel booking.

You must book direct via this page of their website to get the 2-4-1 attractions deal.

Given the cost of some of these attractions (standard London Eye tickets are £24.50, SEA LIFE is £27 in advance), the 2-4-1 deals do offer a good saving on the cost of your room.

Park Plaza also has a ‘kids eat free and stay free’ policy’ which will keep your costs down further.

Save 35% too …..

Running alongside this offer, Park Plaza is also running a ‘35% off’ promotion.

The discount is based off Best Flexible Rate. Rooms are fully cancellable up to 24 hours before arrival. There is even a swimming pool at Park Plaza Westminster Bridge, although based on recent feedback I recommend booking a slot before arrival due to restricted numbers.

You need to be a Radisson Rewards member to get the 35% discount. You can sign up here if you are not already a member – it’s free.

The sale dates:

  • book by 5th September
  • stay by 30th September

Upgraded rooms types are included in the sale. It is not just on standard rooms.

Further details on the sale are here.

Amex Platinum cardholders get free Radisson Rewards Gold status

If you have The Platinum Card from American Express, remember that you automatically qualify for free Gold status in Radisson Rewards for as long as you have the card.

You can claim your status upgrade via this page of the American Express website.

Radisson Rewards Gold benefits are listed here and include:

  • an earning rate of 25 points per $1
  • 15% off food and drink in the hotel
  • two free bottles of mineral water
  • in-room welcome gift
  • early check-in and late check-on if available on request

Radisson Rewards is also one of the best transfer partners from American Express Membership Rewards, with a generous 1:3 ratio. This makes it easy to top up the points from your stay to the level you need to redeem for a free night.

Surprised that they are providing the 241 code upfront when the room is cancellable up to the day before arrival…

  • TeesTraveller says:

You can get the 241 at merlinfun.com without having to book a hotel.

    • MattB says:

Thanks was just about to ask about any deals for the eye for our upcoming stay using the previous £89 offer.

I may have to dampen my wife’s enthusiasm as she is under the impression that it has an open bar in the pods like the high roller in Vegas!

      • Laura says:

oh god, is that true about the open bar?

I didn’t go on the High Roller because I thought it was a poor version of the London Eye, minus the sights. Have serious FOMO now. hahah

  • Simon says:

Merlin 241 vouchers are easier to get than COVID

  • Alex W says:

    What no Legoland??

  • Ryan says:

Kellogg’s also running 241 on Merlin at the moment.

  • Tracey says:

  • Michael C says:

I still have to cancel a previous £89 offer: I think I read that I have to ring/write?

    • DT says:

I cancelled one last week and had to ring, when you hit cancel booking on the website it says “this booking cannot be cancelled”

      • Michael C says:

        Cheers!

        • Bagoly says:

I had two which I I had to cancel separately.
I wrote an email to the hotel (address on the Radisson website).
For the first booking, they sent an email confirming cancellation a week later.
For the second one, when I check a week later it had been cancelled.
No charges have appeared on my statement.

          • Michael C says:

Thanks, Bagoly – won’t leave it till last minute!

  • Kevin C says:

BP started their Merlin two for one promotion yesterday. Different set of attractions.
