Win airport lounge passes with Plaza Premium and Head for Points

Links on Head for Points may support the site by paying a commission.  See here for all partner links.

We have teamed up with Plaza Premium to give away 10 airport lounge passes for two people to 10 lucky Head for Points readers.

Plaza Premium is widely regarded as the best of the independent lounge brands. Its departure lounge in Heathrow Terminal 2 has regularly been named the ‘Best Independent Airport Lounge in the World’.

The Plaza Premium departure lounge in Heathrow Terminal 5 – below – reopened last week. As we reviewed here pre-covid, it is a classy space which even attracts some BA flyers who qualify to use the Galleries lounges.

Plaza Premium also has lounges in Heathrow Terminal 2 (arrivals), Terminal 3 (arrivals) and Terminal 4 (arrivals and departures) but these remain closed for now.

Outside the UK, you will find Plaza Premium lounges in more than 30 countries, over 250 locations and 70 international airports which a particularly strong footprint worldwide.

Whilst Plaza Premium is no longer part of the Priority Pass lounge card network, you can still access its lounges for free with a guest by showing an American Express Platinum card. It remains in the DragonPass lounge card network, which is offered to NatWest Black customers amongst others.

Plaza Premium has also launched its own Lounge Pass scheme as we cover below.

Plaza Premium is launching two new Lounge Pass offers

Plaza Premium is launching two new offers to encourage you to try its lounges this Summer:

Additional savings up to 23% off when you buy a Plaza Premium Lounge Pass

From Friday, you can save between 8% and 23% when you buy a Lounge Pass. The discount varies depending on how many visits you buy. These discounts are available if you use the Plaza Premium Smart Traveller app, which is free to join:

  • The 2 visit lounge pass will be US$60, down from $75 (20% saving)
  • The 4 visit lounge pass will be US$115, down from $150 (23% saving)
  • The 6 visit lounge pass will be US$168, down from $198 (15% saving)

If you do not use the Smart Traveller app then the discounts are 10%, 12% and 8% respectively, so it pays to register. You can register for Smart Traveller here.

Each pass is valid for 12 months. You will also earn points in Plaza Premium’s new Smart Traveller scheme with every visit, as we explained here.

Remember that you won’t get these discounts until Friday, when the offer launches. We’ll remind you in a separate article later in the week.

Students get 50% off

Plaza Premium is offering students an even better deal, just in time for the summer break. If you are a student you will be able to save 50% on lounge entry.

The offer is open to any student with a valid ID.

Under this offer you will be able to visit Plaza Premium lounges for just US$30 per visit. This is excellent value given the quality of what is available.

If you’re a student, you can avail yourself of the offer on the Plaza Premium website later this week. These heavily discounted rates do not earn Smart Traveller points.

Win a lounge pass with Plaza Premium and Head for Points

You can win one of ten Plaza Premium lounge passes.

Each pass allows you and a guest to visit any of the 250+ Plaza Premium Group lounges globally, although we suspect most of you will use it at Heathrow Terminal 2 or Heathrow Terminal 5. A full list of lounges is here.

Lounge passes are valid for access to the lounge and standard amenities. Additional items, such as premium alcohol, may be chargeable.

Great prize! I’m not entering as I don’t think I’d get to use it so don’t want to waste it, better left for someone else.

Good luck to all who enter!

    • Henry says:

1 lounge pass?? Hardly qualifies as great prize – many here will get into Plaza lounges anyway for free.

      • @mkcol says:

        1 lounge pass for 2.
And many more here will not get into them free.

      • CarpalTravel says:

Oh ok, I utterly misread – I thought it was 12months worth! Let’s go with nice prize. 😊

  • ChrisC says:

    So discounted cost per visit

    2 visit = $30.00 (usual 37.5)
    4 visit = $ 28.75 ( 37.5)
    6 visit = $ 28.00 (33.00)

  • Pablo says:

$27 through Dufry Dragonpass that many on here will have.

  • Aron says:

To me it shows that the T5 lounge is closed anywhere I look, but article mentions it is open? Am I doing something wrong?

    • Rhys says:

It WAS open but is temporarily closing as of today until the 9th August. Possibly because of the pingdemic…

      • Aron says:

Thanks mate, I was unsure if it was me or something else. I’m looking to fly to Greece in end of September, maybe if I win I could use it then! 🙂

  • Greenpen says:

I successfully entered the competition yesterday, the Your Entries showed 1. This morning although the total number of entries has gone up, my Your Entries shows 0. Has my entry been rejected and if I enter again will I be disqualified for multiple entries?

This has happened to me in previous competitions.

    • Rhys says:

Probable that your browser has purged the cookie which indicated you had already entered. We don’t process the entries until the end of the competition.

      • old codger says:

After entering, is it ok to “log out”? as that’s what I did.
