News in brief:

British Airways launches a short haul sale with seats from £28

For this weekend only – until midnight on Monday 17th January to be precise – British Airways is running a short haul flight sale.

Over 750,000 seats have been reduced to £39 or less, one way, with some as low as £28 one way. The sale covers both Heathrow and Gatwick services, but not the BA CityFlyer operation from London City.

Here are some example fares supplied by BA:

• Heathrow to Barcelona, from £30 each way
• Heathrow to Jersey, from £34 each way
• Gatwick to Malta, from £34 each way
• Gatwick to Milan, from £29 each way
• Gatwick to Nice, from £28 each way
• Heathrow to Palma de Mallorca, from £28 each way
• Heathrow to Prague, from £33 each way
• Gatwick to Venice, from £30 each way

Fares are available for selected travel dates until the end of the year.

Eastern Airways launches Humberside to Jersey

Regional airline Eastern Airways is launching a new Summer route from its base at Humberside Airport to Jersey.

The route will operate once per week, on Saturdays, from 21st May until September.

Flights will be operated wtih a 72-seat turboprop aircraft. You can check pricing on the Eastern website here.
