News in brief:

Win a £700 flight voucher with Virgin Atlantic

In addition to its winter sale, Virgin Atlantic has been offering a number of ‘daily deals’ (lasting, oddly, for multiple days) with incentives to book your next trip now. In the past fortnight this has included £100 Amazon vouchers and cabin upgrades.

Virgin’s latest ‘Deal of the Day’, running for three days, is now live.

There are 300 x £700 Virgin Atlantic flight vouchers up for grabs.

To enter, you need to book a Virgin Atlantic flight on virginatlantic.com between now and Thursday. Your booking reference will be automatically entered into the prize draw, and winners will be announced on the 27th January.

I don’t know how many direct flight bookings Virgin Atlantic typically makes per day, but with 300 vouchers up for grabs I imagine your odds are pretty good. The competition is only open to UK residents.

You must redeem your voucher and travel by September 2022, with blackout periods from 10th – 20th February and 31st March – 24th April. This is not hugely flexible, assuming that your original booking will be for your main holiday of the year. You can only use the voucher on Virgin Atlantic operated flights, not partner airlines, although this includes the cash element on reward flights.

There are two further ‘Deal of the Day’ promotions coming up, although Virgin won’t tell us what they are. They will launch on:

  • Tuesday 25th January
  • Monday 31st January

I’m not sure what else Virgin Atlantic could offer that would be more attractive than winning one of 300 x £700 flight vouchers, so you may want to book now rather than waiting to see what comes along later.

You can see the full terms and conditions on the Virgin Atlantic sale page here.

Get 25% off No1 Lounges

No1 Lounges, which operates the Clubrooms and No1 brands, is offering a 25% discount on adult entry at all No1 Lounges. Children are not included in the offer, unfortunately.

To make use of the promotion you must enter the promo code ‘WINTER25’ during checkout.

There is no clear cut off date for the promotion, although it started on Monday. I would guess it runs until the end of January at least. You can book for any future date.

If you are wondering whether it works with the new easyJet branded lounge The Gateway (photo above) in Gatwick’s North Terminal, the answer is yes. The price reduces from £32 to £24 per adult.

You can book on the No1 Lounges website here.
