The loyalty app Swapi will be closing its exclusive 650 points sign-up bonus for HfP readers at 9am this Tuesday. That means you have just a couple of days to download the app before the offer expires. To get the 650 bonus, new users will need to input the code HEADFORPOINTS during the sign-up process.

650 Swapi points gets you a £5 digital Uber voucher, amongst other things. As downloading the app is free, you can essentially get £5 towards your next Uber ride for doing very little.

(EDIT: The Uber option now appears to be sold out as it has disappeared from the app.)

This weekend is a good time to trial the app if you are yet to do so. Swapi is offering double points when you shop at 20 online brands this Easter, including Harvey Nichols (use your Amex Platinum £50 credit if you haven’t already), Boots and Ocado. This offer also ends on Tuesday.

What is Swapi?

If you are new to Swapi, here’s a quick recap of what the app does:

  • you can add your favourite loyalty cards, both travel and retail, to the Swapi app. When you need to scan your card, such as your Nectar card in Sainsbury’s, you can pull up the barcode via the Swapi app. Over 100 loyalty accounts are supported.
  • you can earn earn ‘Swapi Points’, Swapi’s own currency, by shopping with over 300 retailers via the Swapi app. You can redeem these points in the app for a gift card or discount voucher or – coming soon – swap them into another loyalty currency.

Here are a few example Swapi redemptions:

Has the Uber offer been pulled? It doesn’t appear in the app for me.

    • Steve says:

It’s not on mine either. Doesn’t appear in search, or in any of the redemption categories.

      • Andy says:

Same, at some point they also pulled Deliveroo. Frankly the redemption offers now are just poor

  • S says:

I redeemed for Uber 2 days ago and it didn’t work. Customer services said issue on Uber end so they’ve probably taken it off now

  • Oxonboy says:

I wondered why I signed up for Swapi. Now I remember. No sign of any Uber credit /voucher/code though. Lots of emails from Swapi trying to sell me stuff based on my previous pattern. Will be deleting shortly if nothing appears from Uber.

  • _nate says:

Did anyone get the Amazon voucher from last time? No sign of it although I got a confirmation email about it ages ago.

  • Matt says:

Wish I’d read the comments before signing up. There are no useful redemptions for the 700 points I’ve got – just a load of pay a few points to get a widely available offer (eg money off signing up to Hello Fresh!)

  • nigelwalsh says:

I thought this was to get 650 miles?

  • Alan says:

Zero useful redemption offers now, I previously got Morrisons, Sainsbury’s and Argos. Not sure if this is just temporary or not but makes it much less interesting if long term.

  • Marcus says:

Why are HFP promoting this, you can not convert your points to Avios, waste of time and i have taken the app off.

    • Rob says:

It’s a sponsored article as marked at the top. Happy to promote your company too if you pay us the same amount 🙂

As we need to remind people occasionally, this site has overheads of £125,000 per year and that is WITHOUT me taking a salary. This money does not mysteriously appear from nowhere.
