The Emirates Skywards website is now letting you redeem miles for tickets for the Queen’s Club tennis tournament in London.

Branded as the ‘cinch Champtionships’ this year, it is the traditional mens event which runs immediately before Wimbledon.

It runs from Monday 13th June to Sunday 19th June.

Standard tickets are priced from 14,000 Skywards miles to 20,000 Skywards miles per person. This is double the cost from when this was last offered in 2019, and reflects an unfortunate trend by Emirates of jacking up the cost of its ‘experiences’ events.

VIP hospitality packages (which sell for over £1,000 per couple for cash) have gone up by less and now cost 37,000 to 45,000 miles per person. What isn’t clear is what is included in the hospitality packages – the organisers sell three different versions.

My wife and I went in 2018 on a VIP package. Unless the seats are in a different area – and there aren’t really any bad seats in such a small ground – I’m not sure that the extra justifies the cost. There are just two VIP tickets available per day so (as happened to me in 2018) you may find yourself sharing a lunch table with a big group of travel agents, invited by Emirates for a jolly.

Full details are on the Skywards website here.
