Arsenal tickets bookable again with Emirates Skywards miles or American Express points

Emirates has released the first batch of Arsenal football tickets for 2022/23 for Emirates Skywards members who have miles to redeem.  You can also use American Express Membership Rewards points via a transfer.

The great news is that the pricing of VIP hospitality is back at normal levels after some crazy numbers last year. There are no more examples of 60,000+ miles per seat (the craziest we ever saw was 117,000 miles) – you can now pick up a VIP box seat for as little as 35,000 miles.

Tickets are now bookable for the first home games of the season.

The pricing is quoted is for standard seats – which are reportedly very good ones – and then VIP hospitality, per person.

• Leicester on 13th August (10,000 miles / 40,000 miles)
• Fulham on 27th August (10,000 miles / 35,000 miles)
• Aston Villa on 30th August (10,000 miles / 40,000 miles)
• Everton on 10th September (10,000 miles / 40,000 miles)
• Tottenham on 1st October (12,500 miles / 50,000 miles)
• Liverpool on 8th October (n/a / 50,000 miles)
• Manchester City on 18th October (12,500 miles / 50,000 miles)
• Nottingham Forest on 29th October (10,000 miles / 35,000 miles)
• West Ham on 26th December (10,000 miles / 40,000 miles)

Assuming that you are still in The Emirates Box, it is VERY good.  It is the best located box in the stadium and you get good quality hot food before, during and after the game.  Here is a review of a past trip although I have been 7-8 times since.

I tend to take the cheapest games, because my son would prefer to see Arsenal hit four past a weak team than watch them draw 0-0 against Manchester United.

What is weird is that the Emirates website is now saying “(Beverages are not included, but can be bought seperately)”. This doesn’t make sense because its not as if the box is set up for taking payment. Has the box been changed? Is there someone with an iZettle machine now? Are the VIP clients invited by Emirates also being stung for their drinks? It’s a bit odd.

10,000 to 12,500 miles for standard admission is good value

Emirates Skywards miles remain an excellent way of getting standard admission tickets.

You can’t get Arsenal tickets in general sale unless you are a club member, and even members are going to struggle to get hold of resales for some of the big games listed above.

You cannot get a refund if the time or date of the game is changed for TV purposes and you can no longer attend.

Tickets cannot be transferred.  However, tickets are now sent electronically and do not need to be collected in person from the Arsenal offices on the day, so I don’t know if this is enforced.

Transfers from American Express Membership Rewards to Emirates Skywards are instantaneous if the accounts are already linked and should be pretty quick even if they are not. The conversion rate is 1:1.
