News: Aer Lingus adds Belfast to Jersey and Newquay, get Avios and cashback at Hackett

Aer Lingus adds new routes from Belfast City Airport
Whilst Aer Lingus is having to end direct flights between Belfast City and Heathrow (BA will now operate the route on a wet lease basis), it isn’t giving up on the UK.
Emerald Airlines, which operates Aer Lingus-branded flights under a franchise agreement, is adding two new routes from next Summer.
- Belfast City to Jersey will operate twice per week from 6th May
- Belfast City to Newquay will operate four times per week from 3rd April
You can earn and redeem Avios on these flights. As an Emerald Airlines service, you will be on a small turboprop aircraft. You can book on the Aer Lingus website here.
New Hackett / Amex cashback offer – and earn Avios
There is a cashback offer with menswear retailer Hackett available on many American Express cards.
If you are targeted, and opt in, you will receive 20% cashback on purchases of £200+ by 20th November.
How do you earn Avios at Hackett?
Earning Avios is a bit of a faff, unfortunately. You need to be a member of the free Hackett 65B club.
If you are not already a member, you can join via this page of the Hackett website.
Membership is free. You need to add your British Airways Executive Club or Iberia Plus number to your Hackett 65B club profile.
As long as you give your 65B membership number in the shop, Avios will automatically be deposited into your account. You don’t need to give your Avios details each time you purchase.
