We have been working with Hilton to bring you details of 10 new Hilton Honors hotels opening in 2023 which would resonate with a UK audience.

We ran a similar article with Hyatt on Wednesday as well as a Marriott article here. You can see our roundup of new Hilton openings for 2022 here.

Sainte-Anne Hotel Dijon, Curio Collection by Hilton

France

Sainte-Anne Hotel Dijon, Curio Collection by Hilton

Hilton’s first hotel in Burgundy, the Sainte-Anne Hotel Dijon, will open slap bang in the middle of the Cité Internationale de la Gastronomie et du Vin. The hotel is set inside a former 17th Century hospice, and the 125 rooms feature outdoor terraces so you can make the most of the weather. A fine dining restaurant will serve French delicacies whilst the L’Oratoire bar will serve the best wines from the region. Even better, the hotel is within walking distance of Dijon city centre – a UNESCO World Heritage Site – where you can explore all the ancient city has to offer. Opening Summer 2023.

Germany

Hilton Heidelberg

Home to the oldest university in Germany, Heidelberg will soon welcome a new Hilton hotel. In the heart of the old town, and a block away from the southern bank of the River Neckar, the hotel is currently undergoing a major refurbishment program and rebrand (it was formerly a Crowne Plaza) before it opens in July 2023. The hotel will feature Hilton’s newer, fresher and much trendier design language whilst retaining its significant meeting and events spaces. The hotel website is here.

Turkey

The Bo Vue Hotel Bodrum, Curio Collection by Hilton

A new hotel in Bodrum, this resort claims to have 1.2km of white sandy beaches and just 102 rooms – that’s more than 10m of beach for each guest room by my maths. Just 40 minutes from the Mausoleum at Halicarnassus — one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World — the resort is also within easy reach of a variety of cultural and historical sites, if you get bored of the pool or beach. Meanwhile, you can enjoy Mediterannean, Turkish and seafood across the resort’s three restaurants or a spa treatment. Opening in May 2023. The hotel website is here.

Canada

Canopy by Hilton Toronto Yorkville

Hilton’s ‘vibrant lifestyle boutique’ Canopy brand is heading to Canada in 2023. The 184-room Canopy by Hilton Toronto Yorkville will open in the upmarket Yorkville neighbourhood and will occupy the first ten floors of a new 55 storey tower. It will feature a restaurant with views of Bloor Street and the Rosedale Valley plus an indoor swimming pool. Opening February 2023. The hotel website is here.

Hungary

Hampton by Hilton Budapest Centre

The first Hampton in Hungary will open in the heart of the capital, Budapest, this coming summer. Located on the Pest side of the city, it will be within walking distance of St Peter’s Basilica and the Hungarian State Opera. This Hampton is being designed under Hilton’s new prototype, the exterior is designed to blend into the historic streetscape whilst the interior features refreshed public spaces and redesigned guest rooms. Either way it should offer a good mid-range option in this iconic city. Opening Summer 2023.

United Kingdom

Hampton by Hilton Old Street, London

We’re fans of Hilton’s Hampton brand, so any new centrally located Hampton is a welcome addition, particularly once the Old Street roundaboout and station development completes early next year. Five minutes walk from the station, this Hampton will feature just 107 rooms and cater to both business and leisure travellers, with an Italian restaurant and 24 hour snack menu. As with all Hamptons, it will also offer free hot breakfast for all guests. Opening Summer 2023.

Portugal

Legacy Hotel Cascais, Curio Collection by Hilton

20 miles from Lisbon you’ll find Cascais, known for its beaches and small town atmosphere. The Legacy Hotel Cascais is hoping to open its doors in time for the summer season and will be home to just 59 guest rooms, two restaurants, a swimming pool, spa and fitness centre. The vast majority of rooms have private balconies, many with ocean views. Opening Summer 2023.

United States

Motto by Hilton Times Square, New York

In 2023, Hilton will open another flagship hotel under its newest brand: Motto. There are just a couple of these worldwide, with Rotterdam the first city in Europe to have one. Motto is a hybrid hotel-hostel, offering private rooms with funky public spaces. Rooms come in a range of layouts for different group sizes and often feature bunk beds, with many connecting so you can mix and match with up to six rooms. Motto Times Square is the second in New York City following the opening of one in Chelsea earlier this year. Its high profile location will should be enough of a stress-test to see if this concept can work. Opens April 2023. The hotel website is here.

Conrad Orlando

If a hotel-hostel doesn’t sound up your alley, then the Conrad Orlando may be for you. This new hotel is opening with 533 rooms, 51 of which will be suites. The hotel is at the heart of a billion dollar new resort development that features an eight-acre public lagoon with turquoise waters with 20 acres of tropical beach, plus two 18-hole golf courses. The whole development borders Walt Disney World, making it an excellent spot for families. Opens Autumn 2023. The hotel website is here.

Indonesia

Jumana Bali Ungasan, LXR Hotels & Resorts

As the first LXR in Southeast Asia, this former Banyan Tree hotel will become the 10th LXR hotel globally following a refurbishment. LXR is Hilton’s luxury collection operating at the Conrad and Waldorf Astoria level. In this case, it will feature 72 villas, all with their own private infinity pools and views across the Indian Ocean, perched on the clifftops above Melasti beach. Guests also have access to a beach at the base of the cliff. Info is scant so far, but it looks promising. Opening Summer 2023.

    Hi Rhys
“A new hotel in Bodrum, this resort claims to have 1.2km of white sandy beaches and just 102 rooms – that’s more than 100m of beach for each guest room by my maths”
    and by my maths it’s 10m !!

    • Paul says:

Any news on the WA at the end of the Mall in London?
I remember seeing WA signs up for a couple of years when walking past.

      • Paul says:

Thanks Rob, should be amazing when it opens, Great location.
You could literally touch the Trafalgar curio from the location.

    • Alex Sm says:

Rhys was reading English not maths at the uni! But picky HfP commentators pick on both nevertheless…

  • Algor says:

Small glitch, please delete my comment once adjusted.

‘A new hotel in Bodrum, this resort claims to have 1.2km of white sandy beaches and just 102 rooms – that’s more than 100m of beach for each guest room by my maths.’

Would be 11.76 m per room, unless they have 10.2km of beach or 12 rooms 🙂

  • Algor says:

That is Turkey’s (Türkiye ?), The Bo Vue Hotel Bodrum, Curio Collection by Hilton

  • JohnTh says:

Are they not mentioning the long overdue Hilton Woking (which should have an Exec lounge)? Opening “fairly soon”. Not quite in the same thrilling locations I know..

    • sloth says:

probably don’t want to draw attention to the fact its been opening soon for the last couple of years…

    • DaveJ says:

They’ve got quite a famous pizza express nearby, to be fair

    • JohnTh says:

PS just sneaked Diamond for next year and the Milestone bonus with 2 nights at Hilton Canary wharf (phew). Upgraded to exec room about 2 weeks in advance. Lounge quite good for evening drinks reception – some snacks and a few drink choices but just coffee machine and nuts other times. Good breakfast in main restaurant. PS some good myparkingspace locations nearby.

  • momomo says:

Any news on whether the NYC Waldorf Astoria refurb will be completed in 2023?

  • DivingDave says:

Any new 5,000 – okay, let’s be generous and allow 100% inflation – 10,000 point properties near excellent scuba diving ?
To make up for the loss of the several Sharm and Hurghada hotels.

    • Paul B says:

Sadly I think those days are gone, at least within Europe. I have a feeling there may be a 10k p/n property in Poland, and maybe elsewhere, however can’t see anywhere new opening at circa 10k per night

  • jshRR says:

Hilton Woking ‘executive lounge’ – surely you mean Pizza Express ??

  • Peter says:

Genuine question, as a Diamond, what am I supposed to like about Hampton? It’s “free” breakfast for all, meaning I’m paying for it via the room rate, and there’s guaranteed to be no executive lounge. And not all of them are new! (Hampton Minsk springs to mind)

    • Rich says:

      Rhetorical question?

Very little apart from extra points and the 48 hr room availability guarantee. It’s down to your requirements re location, price and alternative offerings presumably?

      • Rob says:

No upgrade either – the T&C block upgrades at 8 Hilton brands, which few people know.

        • Nick Burch says:

Officially no upgrades at Hamptons, but I find most are pretty good at giving Diamonds bigger rooms where they exist (which they don’t always!)

I stayed at one Hampton in the states where they had “Hilton Honors Diamond” signs on all the ~10 parking spaces closest to reception

Otherwise, you get your bottle of water and a chocolate bar…

          • Chrisasaurus says:

I think most non city-centre US Hampton’s have Diamond parking spots, it’s a nice touch actually though whether it really means anything to anyone I don’t know

        • Save East Coast Rewards says:

Do they block upgrades or just say you don’t get them? Both HGI and Hampton don’t officially offer upgrades but I regularly get upgrades at HGI and Hampton will tend to give me one of the better rooms if they have them
