Move quickly: lots of BA Club Suite Avios seats to Sydney in September / October / November

As flagged by Liam in our forum, British Airways has opened up a lot of Club Suite business class availability between London and Sydney for later in the year.

In the hour since I posted this, a lot more outbound availability has turned up. The screenshot below is from 7pm on Thursday.

surprising amount of BA Club Suite to Sydney in September / October

This is based on TWO Club Suite seats being available between London Heathrow and Sydney. Outbound is on the left, return on the right.

Solo travellers will see a lot more availability.

If you have a British Airways American Express 2-4-1 voucher, you will find even more business class availability if you fly from Manchester, Newcastle, Belfast, Edinburgh, Glasgow or Inverness. To see this, you must tick the box on ba.com saying ‘I want to use my voucher’ and search for just two seats (or select two vouchers and search for four seats). Do not select more than two seats per voucher being used.

If you want to book the direct London flights, you should move quickly as these seats won’t last long.

If you can’t get seats that work, we ran this article earlier in the week on other ways to get to Australia and New Zealand with Avios.

(PS. BA moved Sydney to a Boeing 777 with Club Suite in October 2022. If you don’t see a Boeing 777 operating your flights then Club Suite is not guaranteed. The comments below suggest that there are some Boeing 787 services showing.)

    • Aston100 says:

And now the other way too. August to end of October.
Lots of availability to and from SIN

  • Reney says:

I have a cash flight to Hk return, business seat has opened, before I can BA can anyone guess at telling me the points and cash for upgrading a person return? Thx

    • Reney says:

      call*

    • Nate1309 says:

depends if its in WT or WT+ if its WT the cash will be pricey. points is the difference between the cabin you are booked in to the cabin up.

    • ChampagneSocialist says:

Yup also saw a lot of HKG-LON open up last night (>=2 J seats in many instances) which I jumped on, as I had only been able to book the outbound a few months ago!

  • LD27 says:

That’s great. I’ve been looking all afternoon for Sydney and Singapore and there was nothing. Found kept getting thrown off search. Maybe this is why. Will look now. Thank you

  • T says:

If one wanted to rebook already booked 2 for 1 how would one find availability without the voucher?

    • Rob says:

      You can’t ….

    • gundam says:

You can search for standard Avios availability to see these reward seats unless you are referring to the extra availability with the Premium BA 241 CV. You would need another one knocking about to check for those seats.

  • ZW says:

Same as Hong Kong. 4 biz tickets available almost every day from mid Aug. only biz, no economy or prem econ.

  • Colin MacKinnon says:

Aaargh! Used a old 241 ex-Inverness to save APD, then changed to ex-EDI with a new-style 241, then – just a month ago – gave in and paid to book seats on the 787. All for a one way.

Now, I could use my Barclays voucher and get the Club Suites to SIN!

Oh well, I think I’ll just stick with what I have.

With this and what I’ve seen over the past few days in the north of Scotland, I think the post-Covid boom is over.

  • gundam says:

I love seat spy and HfP!! I’ve been hoping for HKG club seats to open up in Oct/Nov but gave up hope. Then this!
Just upgraded my 2x inbound and booked another return in CW using a Barclays upgrade voucher.
