Malaysia Airlines has launched a valuable new offer for HfP readers that sign up and book via their MHbiz PRO portal, which is designed for SMEs.

Starting from today and available until 30th November 2023, eligible new and existing members can claim £150 in retail vouchers when they make a booking in any class with Malaysia Airlines.

You can earn the bonus up to three times, for a total of £450 of vouchers.

Malaysia Airlines MHbiz PRO

All you need to do is input your booking details on the MHBiz PRO dedicated landing page using this exclusive link for HfP readers. You’ll be able to claim a £150 voucher for each booking you make, in any class, up to a total of three bookings.

MHbiz PRO benefits are available even for family or leisure flights, which means these bookings would also be eligible for the £150 voucher too.

If you’re thinking about trying Malaysia Airlines for your business travel, this could be the time.

What is MHbiz PRO?

Malaysia Airlines MHBiz PRO is the airline’s dedicated corporate travel initiative, akin to programs like British Airways On Business. MHbiz PRO is the booking tool available for SMEs and is tailored for businesses that prefer self-management of their travel arrangements.

As a MHbiz PRO member, you will receive access to preferential airfares as well as benefits such as lounge access on certain ticket types which would not normally include it. There are also customisable ticket booking tools and personalised expense reports. It’s free to sign up and there’s no minimum annual travel spend required to join.

Malaysia Airlines MHbiz PRO

In addition, the Malaysia Airlines ‘Global Getaway’ sale is now live and MHbiz PRO members will get a further 3% discount on the final ‘all-in’ rate for any bookings made during the sale.

This offer stacks with the voucher incentive, so in addition to the discount, any booking made during the sale through MHbiz PRO will also be eligible for the £150 voucher. The Global Getaway deals can be found here with business class fares to Malaysia starting from £3,399 or Australia from £4,615 for MHbiz PRO members. Here’s a reminder of Rhy’s very positive experience on board.

Any small or medium-sized enterprise is welcome to sign up.

Applicants must be UK registered companies, not sole traders or partnerships.

How to get the £150 voucher

If you don’t have an MHbiz PRO account, you will need to set up an account by heading to this registration page. You can then make a booking using the MHbiz PRO portal.

Once you’ve made booking, you must use this dedicated link for HfP readers to input your booking details. Malaysia Airlines will check the details and once the booking has been approved, you’ll be able to select a £150 shopping voucher of your choice. There are hundreds of places you can spend your voucher, including shops, restaurants and travel suppliers.

Malaysia Airines business class

There are a few terms and conditions worth noting:

  • Departures must be from the UK
  • Only qualified bookings will be eligible for a voucher. Malaysia Airlines reserves the right to determine a qualified booking.
  • A ‘booking’ must be a separate PNR with a non-identical flight itinerary. Multiple PNRs with identical journey details will not qualify for multiple vouchers.
  • The total number of available vouchers is limited and Malaysia Airlines reserves the right to suspend or withdraw the promotion once the total is exceeded.

Conclusion

If you have an SME and travel to Asia and beyond (their network extends to Australia and Auckland) on even an occasional basis, this promotion could be a good reason to try Malaysia Airlines.

You can use it for your corporate or even for your personal travel, as MHbiz PRO members will still benefit from this offer on leisure and family bookings. In addition, with the current Global Getaway sale and the additional booking discount available to MHbiz PRO members, the timing of this offer is particularly good.

The offer ends on 30th November 2023 (although the sale runs until 27th September) and you will need to sign up to MHbiz PRO to be eligible for the offer.

Be aware that MH is having a lot of catering issues ex KUL at the moment. They cancelled their agreement with their former caterer without first having an alternative in place. 🙈🤦‍♂️

    • Rob says:

      UK flights not impacted.

      • Numpty says:

        The return flight is!

        • Rob says:

No it’s not. MH told me that it is being fully catered. Some flights are going out OK and London is one of them.

          • Numpty says:

Relatives tell me otherwise. Whether its now fixed, perhaps – they’ve had a couple of weeks to figure out a catering contract! As a current serious issue with an airline affecting its route network its worth a mention?

          • Shanghaiguizi says:

Got the email below earlier today. No idea about KUL-LHR but catering on my flight to BLR at the weekend was inedible slop. I didn’t touch any of it.

In-flight Meal Changes on Malaysia Airlines

            Dear Valued Guest,

Thank you for your unwavering trust in Malaysia Airlines.

We wish to update you on some important changes that have recently taken effect since 1 September 2023. Malaysia Airlines is currently in the process of transitioning to a new in-flight catering service on selected domestic and international routes. As a result, you may notice variations in our meal offerings, tailored to your travel class and flight duration.

Revised offerings may include Malaysia Airlines’ signature peanuts and beverages, refreshments in ready-to-go boxes with pre-packaged pastries, chocolates, biscuits, and drinks or hot meals in disposable containers presented on a simplified tray setup.

We wish to reassure you that this change is temporary. Our team remains resolute in our commitment to restore our services on all affected flights as soon as possible.

If you are travelling on Business Class, we extend an invitation to experience the offerings of our Golden Lounges in Kuala Lumpur and our partner lounges across other destinations. Be assured, our lounge services remain unaffected by this transition.

For more details, we invite you to view our FAQs detailing the updates to our in-flight meal service.

            Your understanding is greatly appreciated.

Pricey return fares to KUL. Because Malaysia Airlines has a monopoly on this direct route at the moment.

    • Qrfan says:

It’s interesting that the consensus view on here is that BA left kul as it’s a low value destination, but that £3400 lead-in rates as a sale price on the only direct flight left. I agree it’s not very cheap unless all their sale fares are fully flex. You’d think BA would happily sell non refundable tickets to Malaysia at that price all day long.

Any idea if I can claim a voucher for an MH flight booked 3 weeks ago?
