Marriott to open a W Hotel in Manchester

We wouldn’t normally cover this, given the time frame, but I’m sure it will please some of our out-of-London readers 😉

Marriott has confirmed that it will open a W Hotel in Manchester in 2027. This will be the third UK property following the W London (which opened in 2011) and the upcoming W Edinburgh, opening next month.

Things can change, of course, but for now the plans are for a 162-room hotel as part of the St Michael’s development on Jackson’s Row in the city centre. There will be two restaurants, a pool (AKA Wet Deck), AWAY Spa, W Lounge and fitness centre.

As you can see above, the hotel will be part of a 41-storey tower. W Residences, presumably on the upper floors, will also be available for sale.
