Happy Christmas to you and your family from all of the team here at HfP.

The core HfP is all in the UK this Christmas. I am in London, Rhys is off in the West Country with a huge number of extended family members and Sinead is at home hoping that her second child will hang on until the planned due date early next month!

Happy Christmas from the Head for Points team

(We have recruited an excellent ex-Amex and ex-Virgin Atlantic marketing person, Katie Ridgers, to cover for Sinead in 2024 and you will be seeing her name on various pieces of content in the new year.)

Thank you for your support over the past year. We managed grow page views again – up 12% on 2022 – which means we’ve grown every year, even during the pandemic, since the site launched in 2012.

Please feel free to share your Christmas travel plans – hopefully more ambitious than ours! – in the comments.

We will slowly get back into things tomorrow as Rhys and I look back over our year in travel.

With our best wishes,

Rob, Rhys, Sinead and Katie

    Merry Christmas one and all

Merry Christmas Everybody! Please take a moment out today to reflect on those who can only travel on foot, who can only sleep in doorways, who collect things only to keep themselves warm and safe, and those whose only aspiration may be to see another Christmas. Let’s ount our blessings and pass them forwards…

    • Lyn says:

      Wisely said, @BJ.

Merry Christmas everyone, from my sister’s house in rural Australia, near the Lakes Entrance area of Victoria. No sleeping in doorways here, but we are grateful to be sharing another Christmas with my mother, and also that she is able to enjoy it. A miracle which didn’t look all that likely at this time last year.

Thank you BJ. Whilst we in the search for pts and as you rightly said, others can barely string a meal together.

    • Tilly says:

Well said and a good reminder @BJ

Merry Christmas to you and all!

      Thanks for this BJ!

Remember to give to your local food bank in January, all. The need doesn’t go away when the tree does.

I’m counting my blessings here too. Being warm, being dry, the food on the table, but mostly the blessings I’m most grateful for revolve around my two little nieces running around and getting all excited about the stockings that Santa left, and the big pile of presents!

    • Lady London says:

      Well said BJ

      Happy Christmas all

Happ Christmas all. Please spare a thought as to the people in Palestine and Gaza. If Jesus were to be born today, he would be burn under the bombardment and rubble. Dr Reverand Munther Isaac did a sermon yesterday in Bethlehem which is worth a listen to. The bombs were still being dropped overnight on refugee camps.

My Dad’s family were from Marsden and I grew up in Hudds. Spending Christmas in Dallas and returning to Blighty for the New Year. Hoping our return BA flight will be less eventful than on the way out! Happy Christmas.

Muggy Christmas everyone, from New Plymouth, New Zealand. Only 20 degrees, but blimey it feels hot with the humidity.

Five flights in two weeks to get here, and trying out SQ’s business class on the way back to the UK in a couple of weeks.
