Welcome to the Head for Points weekly newsletter, full of the latest Avios, travel loyalty and travel credit card news, hints and tips.

ENDS TUESDAY: Get a huge 100,000 points (converts to 100,000 Avios) with American Express Platinum!

American Express is currently running an exceptional deal on The Platinum Card – apply here. The bonus is more than tripled to 100,000 Membership Rewards points which converts to:

  • 100,000 Avios
  • 100,000 Virgin Points
  • 100,000 Emirates, Etihad, Flying Blue, Asia Miles, Delta, Finnair, Qantas or SAS miles
  • 66,666 Singapore Airlines miles
  • 200,000 Hilton Honors points
  • 150,000 Marriott Bonvoy points
  • 300,000 Radisson Rewards points
  • 6,666 Club Eurostar points

….. and many other non-travel rewards.

You should qualify for this bonus even if you have a British Airways American Express card.

You receive 75,000 points after spending £10,000 in six months. You will receive a further 25,000 points if you keep the card for 15 months.

Whilst the annual fee is £650, this is refundable pro-rata if you cancel once you’ve banked the bonus. Pro-rata refunds will definitely be available until 29th February 2024 although Amex has indicated that they will be removed at some point after that date.

The representative APR is 694.9% variable, including the annual fee.  The representative APR on purchases is 30.0% variable.
