Redeem Hilton points to let your kids (or you) play at Stamford Bridge at half term

Hilton is rolling out its partnership with Chelsea FC with what I consider to be a great points redemption package.

If your children are into football, this is something they won’t forget. You even get a hotel room thrown in, so you don’t need to live near London.

Hilton is taking over Stamford Bridge on Thursday 30th May – so during half term – to put together a unique coaching session for children aged 6-17.

Hilton Chelsea FC event

This is what you get:

  • The opportunity for your child, aged 6 to 17 years, to play on the Chelsea FC pitch at Stamford Bridge (parents get to watch from the side of the pitch)
  • Chelsea FC changing room experience and photo opportunity
  • Football coaching, drills and skills sessions on the pitch with Chelsea FC Foundation and Academy coaches
  • A visit to the Chelsea FC Museum, press room and players’ tunnel
  • A Chelsea FC gift
  • Light refreshments provided throughout the day

The whole package is 125,000 Hilton Honors points. We’d value 125,000 Hilton Honors points at around £415, but given everything that you get – including the hotel room – it seems great value. It really is a ‘money can’t buy’ event anyway.

You can redeem your points here – filter by UK events. There were 32 packages available last night.

Hampton Waterloo hotel

Not a kid? Not a problem!

There is a similar package available for adults (18+).

Oddly, this one does not include the hotel. It is slightly bizarre that you are forced to pay a premium price for the kids package because it comes with a room which you may not need. It’s the one thing that puts me off from redeeming for my own son, given that we live in walking distance of the ground.

For adults, this is what you get on the same day, Thursday 30th May:

  • The opportunity for you and a guest to play on the Chelsea FC pitch at Stamford Bridge. Both attendees must be aged 18 years and over.
  • Chelsea changing room experience and photo opportunity
  • A stadium tour, a visit to the Chelsea FC museum, press room and players’ tunnel
  • Warm-up led by Chelsea FC Foundation and Academy coaches and a 7-a-side tournament on the pitch
  • A Chelsea FC gift
  • Light refreshments provided throughout the day

The cost is 75,000 Hilton Honors points for two people. You can redeem here. There were 15 packages available last night.

There are various ways of earning Hilton Honors points from UK credit and debit cards.  Many cards also have generous sign-up bonuses.

There are two dedicated Hilton Honors debit cards. These are especially attractive when spending abroad due to the 0% or 0.5% FX fee, depending on card.

You also receive FREE Hilton Honors status for as long as you hold the debit cards – Gold status with the Plus card and Silver status with the basic card. This is a great reason to apply even if you rarely use it.

Only if I wasn’t traveling that half term… Damn.

  • M3 says:

Does anyone know if Etihad ever do anything similar at Man City?

    • Rob says:

Not for miles, potentially for clients. Marriott do at United for adults.

      • Fazzy Bear says:

I have done the Marriott one at Man Utd in 2022.

Surreal experience for around 130k Bonvoy Points for 4 people.

Both kits provided with names, full training kit, gift bag, meal at 5 star restaurant (Wagyu Beef) with Rio and Wes Brown (who were our captains the next day), stay at hotel with breakfast, official coach transport to the stadium and back, awards ceremony at the end with again more food. No expense was spared from Marriott. I am past the age but there was also a few “influencers” who were part of the experience.

Also in the match you got to have a penalty shootout so you can have the opportunity to say you’ve scored. After wards we got sent photo albums of the event and montages of the match.

As most of us know from the “bed in the stand” offer, there is a Hilton hotel adjoining Stamford Bridge. Instead, they are offering a Hampton (lower position in Hilton hierarchy) in a different part of the city. Strange!

    • Rob says:

No, its a Millennium hotel in the stadium.

      • ankomonkey says:

I stand corrected, Rob. I thought it was a Hilton! My son will be ‘showing his skills’ on May 30th. Apologies to the others playing!

    • Lady London says:

Best Hampton in London I think, well positioned and always able to achieve relatively high rates since opening.

  • antuk says:

Does anyone know if you can gift these experiences, or if you have to go as the one with the points?

  • Alex B says:

Has anyone redeemed for the Adult one? If so could you advise of your age & football standard…..

    • Fazzy Bear says:

Yes redeemed some today – our group is of mixed ability and late 30s average age. Going for the experience itself rather than trying to win actual “tournament” – guessing it’s four teams if it’s 15×2 redemption available. Maybe a round robin format.

    • Yusuf says:

Yep I’ve also purchased – I’m 25 and will be going with my older brother (29). I play football casually twice a week and he hasn’t played for a year or so.

  • Mark says:

Does anyone know the timing for the adults one, is it a full day or afternoon/evening etc?

  • joe Jordan says:

That adult seven a-side sounds like a potential leg breaker, with many turning up to give it their all.
