Accor launches a summer hotel sale – all bookings cancellable

Accor, the Mercure, Sofitel, Ibis, Novotel, Raffles, Pullman etc hotel group, has launched a summer sale for longer stays.
You can save 25% on stays of 3+ nights in participating hotels in Europe and North Africa. Click here for details.
You need to book by 4th June and stay between 5th July and 8th September.
Some Sofitel and MGallery hotels are accepting sale bookings from 21st June. Unsurprisingly, no hotels in Paris, Ile de France or Lille are taking part during the 26th July to 11th August Olympic period.
The headline discount is 25%. This is on top of the ‘up to 10% off’ member discount you receive for being a member of Accor Live Limitless.
Importantly – and this is unique to Accor amongst the big chains – sale rates remain refundable.
With IHG, Hilton etc, a sale rate advertised as ‘25% off the flexible rate’ isn’t a genuine 25% discount, because your sale room can’t be cancelled. You are not comparing like with like. With Accor, your sale room IS refundable and the terms are the same as any other Best Flexible Rate booking.
For example, imagine that you want to spend three days in August catching some sun in the Ibis Styles in Crewe. The sale discount brings the price down from £291 to £219, saving 25%. However, the rate for non-members of ALL is £307, giving a total ‘member discount plus sale discount’ saving of 29%.

You must be an Accor Live Limitless member to book, although you’d be crazy not to be a member given the member discount.
Don’t forget to link your Accor account to your Qatar Airways Privilege Club account
You can now earn Avios ON TOP of Accor Live Limitless points with your stays. It’s an easy win with no downside.
You earn 1 Avios for every €1, before taxes, you spend at any Accor Live Limitless hotel.
You will need a Qatar Airways Privilege Club account to do this. You can move the Avios across to British Airways Executive Club by linking your Qatar Airways and BA accounts following the instructions here.

You do NOT need to do this before booking a stay but you must do it before you check in. Once done, you can sit back and forget about it – all future Accor stays will earn you Avios automatically.
