One of the lesser known British Airways Executive Club partners is market research group ‘Avios for Thoughts‘.

It turns out that we haven’t covered this for (ahem) five years, when it was branded ‘Rewards for Thoughts’, so I though I’d give it a mention today.

‘Avios for Thoughts’ is offering a decent 600 Avios points for signing up, taking the welcome tutorial and completing one survey.

You can find details on ba.com here.

It seems simple enough.  Once you sign up, you will be emailed consumer surveys on an occasional basis.

You will earn between 20 Avios and 350 Avios for every further survey you complete.

To be honest, I doubt this is worth your time for such a small number of points but you could always do them on the train in the morning or in front of the TV.

However, when you complete your welcome tutorial and first survey you will receive a bonus of 600 Avios points.  This is more like it!

Whether or not you cancel your membership after the points post from your first survey is up to you.  It is worth joining and completing one survey.

You can join via this page of the British Airways website.

  • James Wyatt says:

They ask for very “sensitive” information. Are you sure. Sure. Sure. This is not a scam?!

  • Gordon says:

I’m still on the system from last time I signed up, so it’s the OH turn.

  • Sarah says:

When the Avios from “Avios for Thoughts” credit to your BA account, do these count towards re-setting your Avios expiry date? I haven’t been able to find a clear answer elsewhere.

    • chris1922 says:

Yes. Any and all Avios earn or burn resets the three years.

  • Paul says:

I could spend my life doing surveys but the pre screening questions just get longer and longer and then dump you. I am part of BA Future labs who ask all sorts of screening question.
What I have come to realise is that BA don’t want to know why people no longer fly with them and only want the views of those who do. I haven’t flown BA long haul since 2018 but have a gold card. This butters no parsnips with future labs who simply want the views of those who fly BA and by extension who are relatively happy with whatever BA provide.

  • Lumma says:

One of the best results I got from these surveys was to test a Heineken “The Sub” draught beer machine before the UK launch. They were meant to collect it but never did, so I’ve had it ever since. Shame that the kegs for it are way too expensive

  • Miles says:

Done and earnt 600 avios , quick survey another quick 40 avios ,landed straight in my account

  • Matt says:

They need to update the postcode validation on the sign up form, my postcode is 7 years old and isn’t accepted. If you’re going to validate postcodes, do it properly!

    • Matt says:

No it’s worse, if you put a space in the postcode it says that postcode doesn’t exist…

      • Gordon says:

Yes, I fell foul and remembered to not leave the regulatory space, I’ve had this issue on other sites regarding postcode,

  • Chris says:

The sign up page will not accept our Post Code despite it being over 3 years in existence!
