Don’t forget double British Airways Executive Club tier points

If the holiday you book is for five or more nights, and you complete travel before the end of June 2025, Executive Club members will receive double tier points on their flights.

This is a great opportunity to earn or retain status in Executive Club. We covered this offer in more details in our article here.

There are two things to note about the double tier points offer:

  • you must book flights which carry a British Airways flight number – codeshare flights are acceptable but only if your booking shows a BAXXXX flight number
  • whilst your booking must contain at least five nights of hotel or car rental, your overall stay can be longer
British Airways Holidays extra discounts

This offer is so generous that you could earn Silver status in British Airways Executive Club – which is enough for free seat selection and lounge access – with just two short breaks.

Longer European flights such as Athens or Malta earn 160 tier points return in Club Europe, which doubles to 320 tier points under this offer. Do two of those and you’re over the 600 tier point threshold for Silver!

Full details of the ‘double tier points’ offer can be found on the British Airways Holidays website here.

Why book with British Airways Holidays?

As well as making a saving on the cost of booking your flight and hotel separately (in some cases, a package may be less than a standalone flight!), there are some other important benefits when you book via British Airways Holidays:

  • you only need to pay a deposit now with the balance not due until 5-7 weeks before travel – this is a real benefit compared to a ‘flight only’ booking where you need to pay upfront
  • you earn 1 bonus Avios for every £1 spent at BA Holidays – for clarity, this is on top of the usual Avios earned from your flights
  • as we covered above, you can earn double tier points on your flights if you stay for 5+ nights and travel before the end of June 2025

You can also use Avios to pay or part-pay at BA Holidays – see our article here. You can part-pay with Avios alongside the extra savings available in the sale.

The additional discounts above are available until Tuesday.

  • Lee says:

Good timing for me, was looking to book a break in Malta soon (any hotel recommendations gratefully received) so the up to 4% extra off is a good incentive
(It will be well under £10k so I won’t qualify for the oddly less generous 3%)

    • Steve says:

Unsure what your budget is but really enjoyed Hotel Juliani for 4 nights and then 3 nights at the Hyatt Regency last year.

Both in St. Julian’s which may not be to everyone’s tastes, but some cracking restaurants and bars in close proximity to the former (which looks out across the bay) and a slightly longer schlep of the latter.

Can’t speak to the hotels in Valletta but it’s only 15-minutes drive for the more cultural and historical parts of the Island for a day trip or two.

      • Lee says:

Thanks Steve, will consider these (though don’t think can book Juliana through British Airways holidays which was my preference)

  • John says:

It might be helpful if BA website worked and you didn’t get ‘busy’ page and the app didn’t keep crashing!

  • roberto says:

I just repriced my BAH booked for next June Jersey to Abu Dhabi and its £1100 more in the sale..

    • Gordon says:

Seen this scenario quite a lot, that’s why when I receive the sale email, I don’t pay much attention, unless Rob flags up anything worth looking at in the article the following day.

  • Wing It One World says:

Mine would have been a grand different of £21.00 cheaper.

I’m just wondering how BA thinks and perhaps ignores it’s early adopter’s of the original sale.

Halfway through they add an additional sale discount, I’m not sure it makes me feel warm and fuzzy after booking a holiday with them. 🤷🏼‍♂️🤷🏼‍♂️

  • Chris says:

Haha – booked two days ago – now its £100 cheaper. Oh well, such is life.

  • Simonbr says:

I’m not seeing any additional discount on a £685 flight plus car trip. Perhaps it doesn’t start until tomorrow?
