Hilton Honors has launched an exceptionally generous deal for anyone who is seeking to earn or retain Hilton Honors status.

You have the chance to earn double elite night credits on every stay – cash and reward – for the rest of 2024.

Even if you haven’t done a single Hilton stay yet this year, you could still earn or retain Diamond Elite status with just 30 nights over the next six months.

Earn double Hilton Honors elite night credits

There is a condition, but it is manageable

There is only one rule you have to meet to earn double elite night credits for the rest of the year.

You need to be a member of the new ‘Hilton for Business’ programme. This can be either as a company owner or an an employee of a member company.

Here’s the important thing. You simply need to be a member of ‘Hilton for Business’. You do NOT need to book stays at the ‘Hilton for Business’ rate. Any cash rate, or even a reward stay, will earn you double elite night credits for the rest of the year.

You don’t need to opt in to the promotion. It is automatic as soon as you join ‘Hilton for Business’. It kicked in for check-outs after 1st July, and I duly received four elite night credits for a two night stay at Hilton Venice this week.

How do you join ‘Hilton for Business’?

Hilton Honors launched a new small business programme called ‘Hilton for Business’ back in January.

I’m not sure how good the take-up has been – despite a 7,500 Hilton Honors points incentive to register – but Hilton has now been tempted into launching its double elite nights promotion.

You can learn more about ‘Hilton for Business’, and sign up, here.

This is how it works:

  • when you sign up your small business, you are asked for your existing Hilton Honors account details. Your ‘Hilton for Business’ account is linked to this.
  • the only requirement for joining is that you have a business email address which you must verify by clicking a link in a test email sent to you. There is no requirement to provide a company registration or VAT number. You MUST have a unique email suffix (eg ‘headforpoints.com’ in our case) and all your employees must have an email address with the same suffix. It is NOT essential that the address on the Hilton Honors account has this suffix.
  • once you have signed up, you receive a link to send to co-workers. By clicking the link, they can join your ‘Hilton for Business’ account and link it to their existing Hilton Honors account. To join, they must provide an email address using the company suffix and click a link in a verification email.

That’s it!

How do you book rooms with ‘Hilton for Business’?

It is immpressively simple. Going forward, when you or your co-workers log in to the usual Hilton website, they will be given the choice of whether they want to see ‘Hilton for Business’ rates as well as standard rates.

‘Hilton for Business’ rates are worth booking:

  • they are around 2% cheaper than Member Best Flexible Rate
  • you get standard ‘Best Flexible’ cancellation rights, usually up to the day before arrival

‘Hilton for Business’ rates are NOT cheaper than Advance Payment rates. If you usually book pre-paid rates then you are wasting your time signing up for ‘Hilton for Business’ unless you want to take part in the current ‘double elite nights’ promotion.

How does it work for Hilton Honors points?

The guest receives their Hilton Honors points and elite night credit as usual. This is important – the person who stays is not in any way worse off by using ‘Hilton for Business’

On top of this, additional points are accumulated in the ‘Hilton for Business’ acccount:

  • 7,500 Hilton Honors points (worth £25 on our valuation) are earned after the first stay is made under the ‘Hilton for Business’ rate (first stay per account, not per person on the account)
  • 5,000 Hilton Honors points (worth £17 on our valuation) are earned for every 10 nights booked in aggregate by employees using the ‘Hilton for Business’ rate

The person who set up the ‘Hilton for Business’ account decides what to do with the points. You can transfer them to your own Hilton Honors account or you can transfer them to one of your registered employees.

You cannot redeem points directly from the ‘Hilton for Business’ account – they must be transferred to a personal account first. This is a positive point, because it means there isn’t an isolated small balance in the ‘Hilton for Business’ account which may never be used.

Conclusion

If you are interested in earning or retaining Hilton Honors status for 2025, it is well worth signing up your company (or asking your employer to register) so you can enjoy double elite night credits.

The only caveat is that you need to remember that you can earn Hilton Honors status by nights OR by stays. The targets are:

  • Silver – requires 4 stays or 10 nights. Benefits are 20% bonus on base points, free bottled water at most brands.
  • Gold – requires 20 stays or 40 nights or 75,000 base points. Benefits are 80% bonus on base points, ‘preferred’ room of some sort (often just a higher floor or better view, not necessarily next category up), free breakfast (F&B cash credit in the US), additional bonuses from 40+ nights per year.
  • Diamond – requires 30 stays or 60 nights or 120,000 base points. Benefits are 100% bonus on base points, non-guaranteed upgrade, free breakfast (F&B cash credit in the US), free high-speed internet, guaranteed lounge access.  Additional milestone bonuses kick in from 40+ nights per year to encourage you to keep staying after you earn or retain Diamond.

As you can see, if you only ever do ‘one night’ hotel stays then the double elite nights offer doesn’t help you! You would earn status based on stays just as quickly as you will with double elite nights.

If your average hotel stay is longer than one night, earning double elite nights will see you charging towards status quickly.

“Something went wrong, please try again later”

    Nice and specific!

  • J says:

I have a limited company (Small Business) with a @companyname.com email address however, I don’t have a website attached to it. Well, because I don’t need a public facing website. Will I be rejected?

    • Rob says:

Very possibly, but of course if you don’t apply you’ll never know.

  • Marvin says:

I already have stays booked for later this year. If I don’t care about the 7,500 points bonus and only want to get the double elite nights, would I have to rebook? Or will I be receiving the double elite nights anway?

  • BMR says:

I got the email for this as HH Diamond this week – saying had been auto registered (nothing needed) BUT I don’t work for an SME – work for an 18k global business owned by a 200k company. I do book through corporate travel system for work, rarely Hiltons, but my work email is connected through concur to my HH profile – the email came to my person email. I am wondering if they have also signed up corporate customers too – all a bit confusing. That said the extra credits will be useful – have some stays coming up so will see what happens I guess.

Did anyone else get this email but technically not qualify?

    • DeB2020 says:

Yes, I had similar. It popped up in my HH app and said that I am preregistered for it.

Although I am registered with HH with my personal email, I also have a work profile in my corporate travel profile with my HH membership number included.

So that’s the only logical reason I can think of. HH Gold through Amex Platinum. Staying at a Hilton Hotel soon. Let’s see what happens.

  • Swiss Jim says:

Says they’re checking some details – take up to 3 business days. I’m assuming that’s standard. I’m checking out from a 5 day stay on Monday. Hoping that qualifies. If not I’ll be chasing them!!

  • Nick Jablonski says:

As I work for an established company, I tried joining this. Once I had filled in all my details, I received a message to say that, my business email address needed to be verified. Once this had happened, I would receive an acknowledgement, which could take up to 3 business days. However, almost immediately, I received an email (sent to my business email), saying “Welcome to Hilton for Business” then “Thank you for joining [my company name] Hilton for Business profile.” (I’d sooner not give my company name here if that’s ok).

So is this the acknowledgement? And am I now a member? Or do I need to wait longer? I completed the registration on Tuesday and it’s now Friday, so this should be the required time period of three business days.

Unfortunately I can’t copy and paste a screenshot of this received email, but within it, there’s a button marked “BOOK A STAY”. When I click on it, it takes me to the standard Hilton Honors login page (and I enter my Hilton Honors number and password).
However, when I then go on to search for hotels, I’m not offered any “For business” rates, just the standard rates.

I’m really keen to book some hotel stays (which will be largely business stays, although I pay for them personally), but I don’t want to do this until I’m sure that I will be credited with double nights for these stays.

Any advice would be very much welcomed. Many thanks!

    • Rob says:

Have you gone into your H4B profile and added the email account on your HH account?

There is a clear toggle button when you see search results which will bring up H4B rates.

It should be fine – we are members and don’t have issues.

      • nick jablonski says:

        Thanks Rob.
I have now received a second email from Hilton (so it has taken a week), and I have the H4B rates displaying, as well as the option to forward an invite to other employees.
I THINK I’m right in thinking that any existing bookings, regardless of the rate used, will now earn double nights, even if they were booked before I joined H4B?
That looks to be what you have said to other people. I am currently on with Hilton chat, to try and get some sense out of them, but that’s not always straightforward!

        • Rob says:

I assume so although I have not seen this in writing. Full rules are on your H4B home page.

    • Nicholas says:

I also got an immediate Welcome to Hilton for Business but then clicking on the Book a Stay just takes me to the standard login page, as you say. Going back to re-register for H4B it says we’re still processing it. So I guess there’s something still to do.

    • Nicholas Shaw says:

Did this sort itself out ? I got the same message about taking up to 3 days to verify, then almost instantly got an email welcoming me to Hilton for Business. But when I log onto my Hilton account I can’t see the toggle button or rates anywhere.

  • QFFlyer says:

We signed up for H4B, have a company number and website, etc. – got the review and a few days later were rejected. Then a day or two later I got “welcome to Hilton for Business” and it all works as it should, except I haven’t earned any points I wouldn’t have anyway. The spend registers on H4B, but points earned says 0. 🤷‍♂️

    • Rob says:

      This is correct.

You (ie the account owner) get the 7,500 bonus points on your first booking on the H4B rate ONLY. No other rates qualify. They will show in your H4B account and will transfer at the end of the quarter to your personal HH account.

The ‘5000 points for 10 nights’ bonuses credit after every 10 nights. It’s not 500 per night, it is 5000 for 10 nights. Again, these show in your H4B account and transfer at the end of each quarter to your personal account.

  • Elemy says:

I signed up a few days ago, but what I’m not sure is if previously made bookings apply, or if I have to cancel and rebook all my upcoming stays?! Nice promotion!

    • smitrax says:

I’d like to understand this too. Have a pre paid booking next week and just signed up today.

    • Rob says:

      No need to rebook.

      • Elemy says:

        Thank you (as always!)

      • Dubious says:

“You (ie the account owner) get the 7,500 bonus points on your first booking on the H4B rate ONLY.”

How does one book on the H4B rate before they have signed up?

Reads to me like you do need to rebook at least one night stay to get that part of the promotion.

        • Rob says:

Yes, obviously you need to rebook to get that bit – although obviously you can earn it on a future not-yet-booked stay too.

You don’t need to rebook anything to get double elite night credits though.
