Singapore Airlines is making some changes to its schedules for next year which suggest it is increasingly focusing on the UK market.
After launching flights from Gatwick to Singapore a few months ago – you can read my review of the inaugural flight here – it is increasing this service to daily from 30th March 2025, up from the previous 5-weekly.
This makes it the airline’s fifth daily service to London in addition to its four Heathrow flights each day, including one on the A380.
Singapore Airlines also appears to be confident in demand from Manchester.
Since 2016, it has been operating flights from Singapore to Manchester and onwards to Houston.
As of 1st April 2025, Singapore Airlines will be chopping the Manchester-Houston leg. Whilst it’s a shame to lose a unique fifth-freedom route to the US, it shows that Singapore Airlines thinks it can fill the whole A350 with passengers flying to or from Manchester.
Flights are not yet bookable on the Singapore Airlines website but will appear soon.
