Excellent 2-4-1 First and business class flights deals from the UK with Lufthansa and SWISS

Links on Head for Points may support the site by paying a commission.  See here for all partner links.

If you thought we’d never see the return of pre-Covid sub-£1,000 long haul business class flight deals, think again.

SWISS and Lufthansa have launched an astonishing 2-4-1 sale from the UK and some other European countries.

We have fares in business class as low as £694 return to Dubai (from London) and £864 return to Seoul (from Stockholm).

You can find out more, and book, on this page of the Lufthansa website.

SWISS and Lufthansa 2-4-1 business class flight deals

Here, partly courtesy of Luxury Flight Club, are the best of the deals, starting with London departures. It is important to note these are only example deals – the booking page says that other destinations are also discounted.

Here are the rules:

  • you need to book for two or more people
  • you can travel until 30th June 2025 (best availability is September and March-June)
  • you must book by 3rd September 2024
  • it seems that a six night stay is required, with a 14 day maximum

IMPORTANT: Whilst the website says you can book for two people, you can book for 3, 4 or however many you want – although you will struggle to find flights with a lot of seats at these prices.

These flights are very much bookable

You can get seats at these prices. To make it easier, the booking page shows (when you start to select a date) a calendar showing when you can get this price. The price is shows is NOT per person, it is for the group – be aware! It won’t look as low as the headline per person price.

Here is Dubai DURING OCTOBER HALF TERM (if your kids get two weeks off) for £694 per person:

Here are two people to Seoul from Stockholm at SEK 23,000 (£1,729, so £864 each):

Where can I credit my flights?

SWISS and Lufthansa are both part of Lufthansa’s Miles & More loyalty scheme.

Because Miles & More is revenue based (your earnings are based on the price of your flight), you won’t do very well given how cheap these tickets are.  Think about a different Star Alliance programme.

The Lufthansa business class fares usually book into P class.  This page of wheretocredit.com shows what you can do with that – ‘not much’ is unfortunately the answer.

This HfP article looks at which is the best Star Alliance frequent flyer programme for you.

How should I pay?

If you are booking in £, or you don’t have a credit card with 0% foreign exchange fees, your best option for paying if you book direct is American Express Preferred Rewards Gold.

This offers triple points – 3 per £1 – when you book flight tickets in a foreign currency.  This is because the transaction triggers the ‘double points for airline spend’ and the ‘double points for foreign spend’ bonuses.  Our review of Amex Gold is here.

Conclusion

It’s fantastic to see these crazy SWISS and Lufthansa 2-4-1 deals return.

Don’t wait if you see something you want. If you are reading this via email on Wednesday morning then the best options will have gone – don’t even think about waiting until nearer the nominal 3rd September end date for these deals.

You can book on this special page of the Lufthansa website.

  • LongTimeSearcher says:

Struggling to find any for Delhi / Jo’burg in April, May or June 🙁

    • Rob says:

Took me under a minute to find Oslo to Delhi in Jan for £720 though with the majority of Jan at that price. Flexibility is needed at this point in the sale.

    • Kevin says:

You need to spend min 7 or 8 nights to see the lowest fares.

Still loads of Business LHR/DXB/LHR for £707 return on Swiss.

  • Simon Pollock says:

I had the same issues as earlier reported. No business London to jo’burg availability (or any other origin airport to jo’burg) at the offer price. The price calendar showed per person rate, which was confirmed when proceeding through the booking process.

  • Chris says:

Reading the comments and having spent a fair amount of time – there’s definitely something up with this. All of the ‘it took me 2 mins to find flights’ replies are very unhelpful.

I initially saw this deal on HUKD before it was even posted on here. Couldn’t get a single deal to come up then and still can’t. All looks promising and then the price doubles. No bargains at all to be had. Tried multiple dates, routes (ex OSL etc), Even tried exact examples quoted on here by Rob and others. Either you’re all very lucky or there’s something very wrong with the rest of our devices, browsers etc.

    • Rob says:

I can see how many readers have booked and it is a LOT. However, 95% of bookings went through on Tuesday night and Wednesday. Virtually no-one booked yesterday or today (not no-one, but almost no-one) which implies the deals are mainly gone.

    • VerdantBacon says:

This was emailed around by luxury flight club about a day before the HfP post.

I instantly booked 3x return flights, over the next year. It’s highly likely that many people on this mailing list also booked.

It also appeared on the FT Premium Flying forum shortly after (something you can subscribe to for free to email notify anytime a new post is up). Where many people again booked.

When I looked, I found dates wide open for LHR-SIN in F and J, OSL-PEK in J, LHR-HKG in J and was easily able to book these flights and even had time to confirm with a few other couples which dates/flights we were booking for them to join us.

I’m sure you know how booking classes work and which booking classes to look for. If you had opened up the ITA Matrix or even looked on Expert Flyer when this deal launched on the website, you’d see the relevant booking classes drop in number in real time.

The “luck” involved is getting an early as possible notice for fares like this and booking immediately. Luxury Flight Club has helped me book countless J and F fares over the last 4 years

      • Rob says:

The HfP post went up a few hours after the LFC email but wasn’t emailed until the next day.

    • Charlie says:

      Or you’re just a bit thick. 🙂

  • Graeme says:

Booked EDI-DXB this morning for next March on Expedia at £965pp. Still plenty of availability in March on that route.

  • Sam says:

Is the business layout doable with two young children (7 year old and 2 year old).
    It’s showing Swiss Air on a A330-300.
Presume the layout would be more like club world rather than CS (where kids are obviously a no no).

The prices I’m getting for the four of us in business to Dubai are under £3k.
Granted it’s from London City with a stopover in Zurich, but the connection durations are reasonable.

    • Rob says:

Done this a few times, unless they’ve started rolling out the new seat is a ‘good Club World’ – no doors. Works fine with kids.

  • Talay says:

    After hours digestive.

Some got lots, some got a little, many got nothing.

Timing seems to be the key here and I as historically late to fore but sadly, I have a life and don’t spend 24/7/365 with a knocker alerting me to the potential of an error fare.

At 23:00 on 23/08/24 when I am wrapping up the day’s shit of making money as a business, all I see are remnants of wars I never fought but could have won.

Thankfully I retire to my cellar, perhaps not safe but at least potentially irreverent of how so many seek so much to benefit so few.

  • Kevin says:

You got to stay min 7 or 8 nights to get the lowest prices. Try searching again staying longer.

  • Fotunba says:

I try to book London to Rio de Janeiro – Thursday, 20 March 2025 / Rio de Janeiro to London – Wednesday, 26 March 2025 with Total price flights: GBP5,287.38?? not 2-4-1 price??, also London/Toronto for 10 days 10th to 20th October 2024 with Total price flights: GBP7,508.98. Not sure if this offer is still available???

    • Rob says:

      North America was never available.

Not sure if Rio was ever included either – SWISS did not supply a list but I’ve not seen it come up.

Irrespective, this sale is now 5 days old and you’re really fighting over the scraps now unfortunately.

      • Fotunba says:

I know, unfortunately, I saw it late, I only depend on HFP for this kind of info, Rio is actually included – London Rio de Janeiro from £ 1,699 PE from £ 2,199 BC
from £ 5,029 FC, this is from selection of destinations!.. will keep trying..

        • Charlie says:

If you only depend on HfP for this kind of info, then why don’t you cancel your subscription fee? Oh… hang on…. 🙂
