Hadn’t heard of Zleep before … I see the Madrid one is an airport hotel, just a few blocks from the Marriott Auditorium

  • Can says:

Is it just me or Denmark is not very popular for chain hotels?

    • BSI1978 says:

As I recall, think it is an observation made previously about Denmark, and the wider Nordic nations.

    • Ken says:

They have Scandic and Choice and a handful of Marriott but very few IHG or Hilton’s

      Much like Scandinavia.

Danes don’t tend to be flashy or ostentatious, so some brands would look out of place there.

Moxy would work well, W less so

For the price point Scandic breakfasts way better than the big 3 chains.

      • NorskSaint says:

I think it’s more related to the fact that Scandinavia already had its own brands. Scandic, Choice, Thon and Radisson tend to be in most cities already, leaving little room for the majors to come in and operate.

Agree Moxy would do well given the competition

  • roberto says:

India in Business is £1300 out of Jersey on some dates , add a hotel to make it a Holiday and bag Silver.

    • Erico1875 says:

      I paid Amex 2 4 1. 190K Avios £950 for 2 Edi Lhr Blr return.

Putting a cost of £250 against BAPP and 1p per Avios we are at £3100
So marginal worse than these fares, but flexibility must count

      • Gordon says:

Also have to factor in the tier points and avios that’s earned on a cash booking.
But as you say, if you need flexibility.

        • Erico1875 says:

TBF the actual aquasition cost of those Avios is closer to 0.5p per Avios.
My dates (December) is still pricing up at £7900 with BA although Lufthansa is coming in around £4K.

    • Guernsey Globetrotter says:

Don’t BA hold have to start in UK, so adding domestic legs like Edinburgh would work but not Jersey?

      • TGLoyalty says:

        Jersey works.

      • BA Flyer IHG Stayer says:

Without going into the constitutional and international law weeds and rights and wrongs of the status of Jersey but BA includes Jersey as part of the UK hence why a trip stating from there qualifies for the double TP offer

    • Ginga says:

I would love to know how this works ?

Rob would love it if you could explain.

So I could get BA silver Status via booking a flight from Jersey? By adding a hotel?

      Thanks?

  • Lumma says:

What’s the difference in size between those 8m2 rooms and the average CitizenM hotel room? As the beds look similar from the images on the website

    • TGLoyalty says:

They are about 14sqm, 8 is tiny but depends how creative all these compact hotels are with their measurements lol

      • Rob says:

8 sq m is nothing. I just checked my loo in my Andaz suite and it’s about 3 sq m.

        • Kevin C says:

That isn’t the entry level room interestingly. The base room is a whopping 9 sq m. Though it doesn’t have any windows.

  • Thaliasilje says:

Ah! Flights to India are an adventure in themselves.

    • Dev says:

      Why would that be?

    • patrick says:

My brother is in the hotel industry and says that India is the most marmite country he ever goes to. I went for the cricket world cup and have never enjoyed being anywhere less.

  • Xmenlongshot says:

    Another Marriott sub brand

    WHEN WILL IT STOP??!

  • Dan says:

    New sub brand

The Marriot Four Points By Sheraton Reserve Express Vacation Club Inn & Suites

    • daveinitalia says:

Marriot Four Points By Sheraton Reserve Express Vacation Club Inn & Suites Curio Collection by Hilton

(Virgin Hotel Las Vegas is also a Curio, so will a hotel operator try and double dip across two chains)

  • sammyj says:

Any idea if we can sign up for both of the wine offers? The T&Cs state that you can only get the bonus on your first signing for WineBank, and for Discovery, but are those separate enough things to qualify twice?

Live chat have apparently refunded my £7.99 delivery from the Winebank White case, which has just been delivered – very fast!
