Jet2 launches a new base at London Luton airport

There’s something odd about UK leisure airline Jet2 – I’ve never met anyone who has a bad word to say about it. This includes my own family after we flew down to Croatia with them last year.

There are two reasons for this, I think.

The first is that they seem to employ customer-facing staff based on their personality rather than their age. The second is that most people on a Jet2 flight are going on holiday, which leads to a cheerful atmosphere on board. The crew also lean into this, with announcements like ‘we’ll see you in a week, have a great holiday’ on board.
