News in brief:
British Airways cancels London City to Mykonos flights
BA Cityflyer, the subsidiary which runs flights from London City Airport, has quietly dropped services to Mykonos.
The route was due to operate this summer and has been flown since 2015.
It is likely that the cancellation is linked to the new slots at Milan Linate allocated to British Airways as part of the deal for Lufthansa to acquire ITA Airways.
London City will now see three daily flights to Linate as opposed to one and – as a long route – Mykonos is an easy way of freeing up aircraft capacity.
British Airways flights from Heathrow to Mykonos will continue unchanged.
