Juneyao Air will no longer be an Avios partner

When Finnair adopted Avios a year ago, it brought two new airlines into the Avios fold – Swedish regional carrier Braathens and Chinese carrier Juneyao Air.

You could suddenly earn (but not redeem) Avios on these carriers by linking your British Airways Club account to a Finnair Plus account.

Unfortunately, both of these partnerships have been wound down.

The Finnair deal with Braathens ended on 31st December 2024. This was expected as Braathens ceased operating flights under its own brand and became a pure wet-lease operator for SAS.

Finnair has now announced that the Juneyao Air partnership will end on 15th April.

You will no longer be able to earn Avios from Juneyao Air from that date. If you do find yourself flying with Juneyao, it retains partnerships with a number of Star Alliance carriers – check wheretocredit.com for details.

How to earn Avios from UK credit cards (April 2025)
