Get 40,000 Marriott Bonvoy points with a ‘Homes & Villas’ booking

Marriott is offering 40,000 bonus Marriott Bonvoy points if you book a home or villa rental through its ‘Homes & Villas’ platform.

This is on top of your base points of 5 per $1 spent plus any elite bonus.

We value 40,000 Marriott Bonvoy points at £200 so it is a decent return.

Until 11th May you must have elite status in Marriott Bonvoy – Silver or above – to take part. If you do not have elite status, a general offer – we don’t know if the bonus will remain at 40,000 points or not – will run from 12th May.

There is a bit of small print:

• registration is required before booking.

• there is a minimum spend requirement of $1,500 before taxes, deposits and cleaning fees

• there is a two night minimum stay

• you need to book by 11th May and hold Silver or higher status in Marriott Bonvoy

• you need to stay between 1st June 2025 and 4th January 2026

• stays have to be paid 100% in cash – full or part payment with Marriott Bonvoy points will disqualify you

How many points do you earn with Homes & Villas?

On top of the 5 base points per $1, elite members of Marriott Bonvoy will earn a status bonus:

• Silver Elite: 5 base points per eligible $1 plus 10% bonus
• Gold Elite: 5 base points per eligible $1 plus 25% bonus
• Platinum Elite: 5 base points per eligible $1 plus 50% bonus
• Titanium Elite: 5 base points per eligible $1 plus 75% bonus
• Ambassador: 5 base points per eligible $1 plus 75% bonus

…. and Gold and above receive additional points as a welcome gift:

• Ambassador Elite, Titanium Elite, Platinum Elite: 1,000 points
• Gold Elite: 500 points

The 40,000 bonus points for this promotion (assuming your stay qualifies) is on top of these bonuses.

As well as earning Marriott Bonvoy points, your stay also earns elite night credits towards Marriott Bonvoy status. They are not meant to count towards lifetime Bonvoy status but this is not always the case, looking at reader reports.
