Earn double points with Preferred Hotels and I Prefer

We don’t cover the Preferred Hotels marketing consortium much, although we did publish a glowing review of Swinton Park Hotel in the Yorkshire Dales last year which sits in their ‘Beyond Green’ eco-friendly arm. Sinead also visited The Londoner in Leicester Square recently.

Preferred Hotels has been dipping its toes in the water with some ‘double points’ offers recently and has just launched a new iteration.

One way you could take advantage of this is if you have a stay at one of the participating Virgin Hotels properties coming up.

The new ‘double points’ offer runs to 31st August.

Unlike the last time this offer ran, registration does not close early. You can sign up on the last day if you want, assuming you have a stay that night.

You need just under 16,000 I Prefer points to redeem for a £25 gift voucher so (at 10 points per $1) you’d be looking at a spend of around £800 including VAT to earn that under ‘double points’.

It’s not hugely generous even with this offer but clearly better than nothing if you are booking into one of these hotels anyway. You get better value with a larger pile of points as you can do a standard redemption – European hotels start at 35,000 I Prefer points.
