It’s finally time to distribute tickets for the Head for Points Summer Party, generously sponsored by Heathrow Express.

This is the UK’s biggest frequent flyer event. Because it is getting increasingly hard to schedule them around major football tournaments, we have moved to a two year schedule. If you miss this one, your next chance will be 2027!

500 tickets will be made available at noon TODAY (Tuesday).

Where and when is the Head for Points Summer Party?

The date is Thursday 19th June.

This year we are moving to a new venue – Christ Church Spitalfields, the prominent church on the Eastern side of Spitalfields Market (photo above).

The party will take place from 6pm until 9pm.

Whilst Christ Church is still an active church, it operates as an events venue for most of the week. We attended a function there earlier in the year and realised that it was ideal for our needs.

As well as a fantastic interior (see below) the church has outdoor space if the weather is good. If it’s bad, there is overflow space so it still won’t feel too crowded.

As well as chatting to Rob, Rhys, Sinead, Katie, Conny and fellow guests, there will be around 75 people from your favourite airlines, hotels and credit card companies in the room who are keen to hear what you think. There is no other frequent flyer event like it in the UK.

You can win a £10,000+ raffle prize, courtesy of Malaysia Airlines

We will be holding our popular raffle again. Everyone who attends receives one raffle ticket.

We have given away some spectacular star prizes in our party raffles over the years, but this year we have managed to raise the bar even higher.

Malaysia Airlines has generously donated the fantastic headline prize.

The winner will receive:

  • two return Business Class flights to an Australian destination of your choice via Kuala Lumpur

Malaysia Airlines flies to multiple destinations in Australia, including Perth, Adelaide, Melbourne, Sydney and, starting from November, Brisbane.

The winner will be able to arrange their flights to build in time in Kuala Lumpur if they wish and open jaw flights are also an option. There are some blackout dates, but they aren’t extensive. We do need to point out that the winner will not earn Enrich miles from their flights.

Malaysia Airlines is flying its new A330neo aircraft on some of these routes so you may be able to try Malaysia’s brand new business class seat (image below). And, of course, any flight will feature Malaysia Airlines’ excellent service and warm Malaysian hospitality.

We will be telling you more about Malaysia Airlines in the run up to the event. As a member of the oneworld alliance, you can earn Avios and British Airways Club tier points when you fly with them, as well as redeem Avios on their flights.

There are runner up prizes too

If you don’t win the star prize, you could still walk away with one of a number of other great prizes, generously donated by the companies you read about on HfP every day.

We already have confirmed prizes from American Express, Accor, Avis and Le Shuttle and we expect more to be added.

The raffle will be drawn at 8pm and you must be in the room at that point in order to win.

(As you would expect, some T&C will apply to the Malaysia Airlines prize.)

Thank you to our headline sponsor

We would struggle to run this party without sponsorship so we are appreciative of the generous support from this year’s sponsor, Heathrow Express.

Not only is Heathrow Express enabling this great event, the team are promising to bring some exciting product news to the party!

Heathrow Express

How can I get a party ticket?

We hope that you can come along to meet Rob, Sinead, Katie, Conny and myself (Rhys) and to talk miles, points, credit cards and travel with other readers.

The party will run from 6pm to 9pm on Thursday 19th June at Christ Church Spitalfields.  The raffle will be drawn at 8pm so you don’t need to commit to staying until the end – although hopefully you will.

The bar will remain open for a while after 9pm for anyone who wants to stay longer.

Bring a friend or come by yourself – you won’t struggle to find someone to share your stories with. We do not recommend bringing someone who doesn’t share your love of points and travel because that’s all people talk about for three hours!

As usual, to ensure that people who ask for tickets turn up, there is a £15 charge per ticket. This includes your first drink, soft or alcoholic, from a selection. There is a pay bar for additional drinks.

The cost of staging an event like this is substantial and the ticket price – which includes VAT – only covers a small part of our costs. We are grateful for the support of Heathrow Express for making the evening possible.

Tickets will go on sale at noon today, Tuesday 3rd June.

There is a limit of two tickets per booking. American Express is accepted. Tickets are not refundable. Ignore the ‘Promo Code’ box on the checkout page.

Click here from noon to purchase your tickets from our Eventbrite page.

We look forward to seeing you on Thursday 19th June and hopefully sending you off to Australia in the good hands of Malaysia Airlines.

If only all the effort and electricity wasted in failed ticket purchases could be harnessed. Net zero would be solved

  • Andy says:

I’m in. I’ve missed out many times but I’m still in favour of keeping the event small and the probability of winning something higher. Snagging tickets seems like good practice for snagging reward flights at 12.

  • Jack S says:

Somewhat ironically I’m getting married at this church next month, but missed out on the release as the restaurant I’m at in Kuala Lumpur with the Malaysian future in laws (!!) didn’t have signal!

Any spare ticket would be very much appreciated (you can come along for the ice cream at the wedding in return!)

  • SicillianRed says:

I’m so excited to get one even though I nearly failed at the last hurdle as I couldn’t remember my CVV number and had to find my card in zipped bag and in zipped purse. First time
and newbie to travelling smarter. Just forgot to get my friend one 🤦🏽‍♀️

    • Really? says:

Whereas Applepay failed every time IMHO within seconds

  • Tomacat2 says:

Train ticket and Hotel booked. Look forward to attending my first HFP summer party long time lurker and recently joined forum.

  • qc says:

HFP ought to have a loyalty scheme with those who have been regular posters getting status based on length of membership and number of points.

Then the tickets could be released in tranches with the majority going to the elite members and if any left they can be released to newbies😂😂

    • Rob says:

We have thought about this – potentially giving heavy forum posters an advantage for example – but we want new readers as well as old hands to have a chance. There’s no ideal way of doing it.

    • SteveCroydon says:

Yes, but you would need at least a million posts just to get HfP Aluminium Status. For Gold/Platinum you would require 385,874,294,677 posts … per year!!!
Perhaps extra status from an HfP branded AMEX card.

    • Aston100 says:

This is a very good point.
I feel I’ve seen prizes at previous events going to people who have probably never posted before and possibly don’t even use the site much but decided to turn up in order to try and win a prize.

      Feels a bit wrong.

      • Rhys says:

How would you know? A lot of regular readers never comment. In fact, only a minority do!

        • Si says:

I’ve been reading every morning since 2012 but never posted! Hello!!

  • executiveclubber says:

500 tickets sold within the first minute?! We’ll have to organise our own party in the CCR next year

  • Just Nick says:

5 times I had tickets in my basket, and 5 times Applepay failed in checkout. Gutted.

    • LittleNick says:

Yh I thought using apple pay would be quickest but we learnt otherwise

      • Tomacat2 says:

A shame that not all of you could get tickets will send pics from the day.

    • Dumb and dumber says:

First sign of madness to keep making same mistake. Me too

    • Nancy Oliver says:

What time did you attempt? I never got tickets at all. So if anyone has a last minute unused ticket, I live in London and can buy your ticket please. 🙏🏼
