What can you win in the party raffle?

All attendees will receive one ticket to the party raffle on arrival, which will be drawn at 8pm.

Our star prize:

Two business class flights to Australia, courtesy of Malaysia Airlines

We have given away some spectacular star prizes in our party raffles over the years, but this year we have managed to raise the bar even higher.

Malaysia Airlines has generously donated the fantastic headline prize. The winner will receive:

  • two return Business Class flights to an Australian destination of your choice via Kuala Lumpur

Malaysia Airlines flies to multiple destinations in Australia including Perth, Adelaide, Melbourne, Sydney and, starting from November, Brisbane.

The winner will be able to arrange their flights to build in time in Kuala Lumpur if they wish and open jaw flights are also an option. There are some blackout dates, but they aren’t extensive. We do need to point out that the winner will not earn Enrich miles from their flights.

Malaysia Airlines is flying its new A330neo aircraft on some of these routes so you may be able to try Malaysia’s brand new business class seat (image below). And, of course, any flight will feature Malaysia Airlines’ excellent service and warm Malaysian hospitality.

As a member of the oneworld alliance, you can earn Avios and British Airways Club tier points when you fly with them, as well as redeem Avios on their flights.

For our runners-up ….

We also have some excellent runners-up prizes to be won (prizes do not include travel or any other costs).

These include (and at least one more big one will be added before Thursday night):

  • 20,000 World of Hyatt points, which we’d value at £250+, generously donated by World of Hyatt
  • One year of Platinum status in Flying Blue, giving you elite benefits across the SkyTeam alliance, generously donated by Flying Blue
  • 2 tickets to the ALL Terrace at OVO Arena Wembley for Busted vs McFly with an overnight stay at ibis London Wembley on 19th September, generously donated by Accor
  • 2 Summer Garden tickets to Noah Kahan at American Express presents BST Hyde Park, generously donated by American Express
  • A 12-bottle case of wine, generously donated by Virgin Wines
  • 2 prizes of 5,000 Heathrow Rewards points, generously donated by Heathrow Rewards
  • A seven day car rental from any Avis location in the world, generously donated by Avis
  • 2 tickets to see Alanis Morrissette from the amazing The NinetyThird lounge at The O2 on 27th July, including £100 per person to spend on food and drink
  • 2 tickets to see Peter Kay from the amazing The NinetyThird lounge at The O2 on 26th July, including £100 per person to spend on food and drink
  • a standard return on LeShuttle generously donated by LeShuttle to mark the launch of Club LeShuttle and its Avios partnership

Thank you to all of our prize sponsors, especially Malaysia Airlines – this is the biggest prize we have ever offered at a Head for Points party.

We look forward to seeing everyone on Thursday night!

  • Froggee says:

Cool. Can you put me down for the Oz tickets and Mr McToadrick for Flying Blue Platinum please.

I assume the only fair way is a dibs based system?

    Dibs called.

    • AJA says:

I thought Mr McToadrick was off your Christmas card list?

(Can I get away with mentioning the c word in June?)

      • Froggee says:

It’s never too early for the c word.

As per recent trip report, McToadrick is no longer amphibia non grata. He gifted both Mrs Froggee and me BA silver status.

        And I am easily bought…

  • Polly says:

    Fantastic prizes. Well done.
Thank goodness MAS have offered 2 tickets. Who was it one year only offered ONE!? Think people were surprised to say the least! Looking forward to seeing a few familiar faces.

    • Lumma says:

Would be good if you wanted a solo trip that you could take two separate trips

      • Lady London says:

I was eyeing it for that. And it would be great to see Kuala Lumpur. I’d maybe take a side trip to Penang following @Polly’s recommendations.

  • dshunter says:

Finish work at 6ish usually, and will be my first attendance… what time do you recommend arriving by to avoid missing out on the best bits?

    • Rob says:

Whenever. Drink won’t run out and the cupcakes (£730 worth!) don’t appear until later.

      • dshunter says:

Ok so 7 won’t miss the raffle?

        • Rob says:

Raffle is 8. The rules (yes, there are legally binding rules because we’re giving away about £15,000 of stuff) will be emailed to you tomorrow.

  • Lumma says:

Hopefully the change of venue will work. I went to two at the St Pancras hotel (and even won a raffle prize the last time) and never liked the layout. Attended the second one at the Melia and it was great, although there was unlimited free booze then so that might have helped

    • LittleNick says:

Only been to one at the St Pancras and thought it was great tbf, will be interested to see it here in comparison

      • Rob says:

The Melia parties were 150 people so not comparable – current ones are 500+. St Pancras was (is) an outstanding venue, especially the outside space.

Christ Church is not as good in terms of outdoor space and the fact that it’s still a functioning Christian church means that some readers cannot attend. It is beautiful inside though and there is more bar space.

Christ Church also didn’t want to charge us £100 per head to host a standing reception, unlike St Pancras ….

        • BSI1978 says:

          £100ph is a pi55take.

Just in the process of arranging something with the rooftop at The Standard which could be an option in the future Rob, although not sure capacity would work, and little option/area if the weather wasn’t on your side.

          So ignore me…!

          • Rob says:

Renaissance was bizarre. We could literally have hired a 500 seat restaurant and given everyone a 3 course meal with wine and it would have cost less than they wanted this year to host a standing reception.

    • Michael Jennings says:

It’s very nice for me. I will just pop over on the 78 bus from my home in Bermondsey.

    • Lady London says:

Done Camden HiX one back in the day St Pancras twice (Polly, Cat and I were doing The Spice Girls on the staircase there), also the Marriott at Grosvenor Square. Each.venue had different strengths and all a lot of fun. Remember a tip for cloaks assuming there will be one – I do £1

      • Lady London says:

Oh, and Melia too but lots of other halves at that one that weren’t really into miles collecting etc and were mostly confused 🙂

      • Tariq says:

The Marriott was a good one, massive room, and additional raffle tickets for sale… Hint hint

        • Chas says:

The additional raffle tickets for sale at that were great, it I didn’t like the room – a soul-less underground function room!

          • Rob says:

Room was bad which is why we stopped winter parties. We want sun and light!

  • Oviplokos1 says:

When picking my flights to Aus my main question will be on which routes does Malaysian use Boeing…

    • Stuart says:

MH only have the A330-200/300/900neo, A350-900 and the B737-800/MAX 8. So it’ll be Airbus for you to Australia, except Perth which MH also use the B738 on.

  • Bob says:

Erm, a question from a baldy. Will there be shade outside or do I need suncream and a hat?

  • Tomacat2 says:

Ticket secured will see you all on Thursday

  • NigelthePensioner says:

BA conspicuous by their absence. Probably don’t dare show their faces for so many reasons!
