Hyatt launches targetted promotions – for some

In the absence of a global promotion, World of Hyatt is offering some members targetted offers.

The three versions I have seen discussed are:

  • 1,000 bonus points per night up to 10 nights, for a total of up to 10,000 bonus points
  • Earn one Free Night Award toward a Category 1-4 hotel with a qualifying 2-night stay
  • 3,000 bonus points for every five qualifying nights, up to 50 nights, for a total of 30,000 bonus points

I got the first one – my wife, on the other hand, got nothing.

Now, beware. What I didn’t realise when I registered is that the offer is valid for 90 days from registration.

This means, as per the screenshot:

Hyatt promotion

…. I have until 27th October to complete up to 10 nights (cash or award) to earn up to 10,000 bonus World of Hyatt points.

If you delay registration until nearer your next stay – assuming the offer doesn’t disappear from your account before then – you will maximise the time you have to hit 10 nights.

This isn’t a bad deal. We value Hyatt points at 1.2p so I’d be getting £12-worth of bonus points per night, on top of my usual bonuses. This would also stack with the current Hyatt Place and Hyatt House bonus points offer which offers bonuses for staying three, five and eight nights.
