If you are based in Edinburgh, here is a genuinely different way to spend your Virgin Points.
On Sunday 24th August, Graham Norton will be hosting a one-off live 3-hour show on Virgin Radio, broadcast from the Commons Club bar at Virgin Hotels Edinburgh.
You can use your Virgin Points to be in the small live audience.

This is the last weekend of the Edinburgh festival, and Virgin Radio is promising multiple special guests. If you are a fan of Graham, it is worth considering.
There are two things to bear in mind.
The first is that, as this is the Edinburgh festival period, hotel prices for the Saturday night before the show are exceptionally high. A quick look shows 2-star hotels at £200+, 3-star hotels at £300+ and 4-stars at £400+. If you need to travel to Edinburgh and stay overnight to attend, it won’t be cheap.
The second is that Virgin Red has priced the tickets on the high side.
It is 25,000 Virgin Points per ticket. If you go with our valuation of 1p per Virgin Point when used for premium flights, you are giving up £250-worth of points per person to attend.
Of course, the full event is likely to run for around five hours, given that you need to arrive at 9am and will presumably hang around at the end. You are getting a pretty full day for 25,000 points.
You will also be fed and watered by the Virgin Hotels Edinburgh team.
You can find out more, or book tickets, via the Virgin Red app or on this page of the Virgin website.
All attendees must be 18+, there is a maximum of four tickets per person, the names of all guests must be provided in advance and photo ID will be required for entry.
