There was a program on the other day about a lido facility in Bristol with a nice restaurant attached – Michel Roux and Fred Sirieix were testing it out and raving about the breakfasts. Might be a bit cold for swimming just now though, unless you’re one of those hardcore wild swimming folk!
The Lido is heated 🙂 It’s quite hard to book a swim spot, or at least it was in the summer, when I failed to secure one.
The Jamaican place that Michel and Fred went to is great. The food is amazing and the owner/chef is just as welcoming as he was on the show.
If it’s not too chilly, a sail on The Matthew is great fun. M Shed is worth a wander. If you like cider, there’s a great cider boat-pub called The Apple.
