    Clifton. That’s it really :))

There was a program on the other day about a lido facility in Bristol with a nice restaurant attached – Michel Roux and Fred Sirieix were testing it out and raving about the breakfasts. Might be a bit cold for swimming just now though, unless you’re one of those hardcore wild swimming folk!

Clifton suspension bridge, Clifton Observatory, Bristol Zoo (small but great!), SS Great Britain the Harbour side and all that. There is a really nice resturant on an old boat there too, indoor and outdoor seating. Link: https://www.underthestarsbar.co.uk.

    Also Concorde at Aerospace Bristol!!!

Why is IKEA in there? Lol

It’s just how it goes. Every trip to Bristol ends with a trip round IKEA on the way back out up the M32.

    The French Bistro looked good.

SS Great Britain and transport/industrial museum (now “M shed”) with historic waterfront in between are pretty cool.
Harbour ferry or the docks tours are a nice way to look round the city

For a slightly unknown but brilliant view of Bristol go up Cabot Tower on Brandon Hill (unless Covid has closed?)
Bristol Museum and Art Gallery is actually rather good – like a mini Natural History Museum.
“We The Curious” near the harbour is a nice science-based childrens attraction. The aquarium opposite is not bad either.
Clifton attractions – suspension bridge; catch the zoo before it closes too.

Quite surprised nobody has mentioned the Aerospace/Concorde museum at Filton given what site we’re on!
    Inland surfing at “The Wave”

That should keep you busy 😉

The Lido is heated 🙂 It’s quite hard to book a swim spot, or at least it was in the summer, when I failed to secure one.

The Jamaican place that Michel and Fred went to is great. The food is amazing and the owner/chef is just as welcoming as he was on the show.

If it’s not too chilly, a sail on The Matthew is great fun. M Shed is worth a wander. If you like cider, there’s a great cider boat-pub called The Apple.

We did the only fools and horses tour when we were there.

Stayed at the doubletree Hilton, which was very close to the station.
We also took the extremely quick train journey to bath.

This is pretty much spot on. I would say avoid Clifton actually. The real Bristol is definitely not there.
