I always use the best non-uber option for NYC airports. Every time I am there I download the app, sign up as a new user with a new email and previously unused credit card. Almost always there is some signup bonus or some sort of a credit which makes a big difference.
I mostly used Lyft with no problems.
Well it was prepandemic times though
