There was a report in the MEN that when people were finally getting their luggage it had been opened and items stolen!

I don’t know what the answer is with MAN, it has so many failings. I guess it’s not important enough globally to shame the likes of Andy Burnham and MAG into taking action. I was reading on FT that they’ve pretty much announced that the moving walkways will never be back in service and that so it sounds like whole place might be allowed to fall into disrepair. We haven’t much choice for long haul as it’s still far more hassle to drive 200+ miles to LHR or LGW for us, but we do have the option of LPL which isn’t much further for us for short haul.

That said, my last 3 trips have been completely problem-free, though I put that down to only taking hand luggage and getting back in late at night when there are very few flights landing.
