If you became Silver with BA but are trying to change a Cathay, IB, etc. flight details you may have to call. IB for instance was very bad recognising OneWorld status on their systems (and will charge you for seat selection etc.)
Try giving them a call.
For the lounge, go to OneWorld’s website and search for the airport. They list the lounges and the requirements to enter (for instance “Lounge A is for all emerald members flying with IB and BA only”)
