Applied for the new card, somewhat grudgingly, and application initially went into pended state where it stayed for well over a week. From past experience with other cards I thought this meant I would be rejected or get granted a meagre credit limit.
Eventually got the acceptance email, to my surprise with a substantially higher credit limit (almost 50%) than my already-high Virgin Money Card! So it seems Virgin do not penalise those with two cards, indeed it may have even helped me. This credit limit was many multiples of the one I was last granted on a newly opened account with another bank.
Will update on whether I receive the bonus.
