In which case you could call the hotel and ask them to take payment in advance.
Has anyone actually been successful with this?
With the Hilton sale that’s going on, I’m tempted to just book for February trip now and also get the 9000 MR bonus. Last time I did advance payment, it was taken a couple of days prior to my stay, even though I had booked a few weeks prior.
This in my experience is standard for Hilton. Had an expensive stay at the Conrad in IST. Booked a pre-paid rate to take some of the sting out of the overall cost of the holiday. The agent even rang me back to pre-auth the credit card. But it was just a hold & the hotel didn’t actually charge me until I think arrival.
